Health status of pilgrims, better than last year

Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and head of the Iranian Pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, who is in Mecca, visited various departments of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center in this city and talked with doctors and patients in the medical center.

According to the Hajj information base, Head of the Iranian Pilgrims was ccompanied by chairman of hajj and pilgrimage organization Mr. Seyed Abbas Hosseini and several deputies and officials of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and hajj organization. Head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center, and head of the Mecca hospital Dr. Mohammad Reza Shams Ardakani reported about more than 10 services that are offered to pilgrims in this medical center.


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab visited closely the emergency departments, pharmacy, radiology, laboratory, dentistry, inpatient, special care and specialized offices, and talked with the medical staff of Mecca hospital and inquired about the most common reasons for visiting pilgrims. The officials of each department emphasized on more information in order to prepare pilgrims for the days of Tashriq and stressed that this group is trying to provide peace of mind to the pilgrims for these days as much as possible.


Head of the Iranian pilgrims in the men's and women's inpatient and special care departments while greeting the pilgrims in these departments, inquired about their physical condition and illness.


Dr. Amir Bisavi, orthopedic specialist, and the officials of the radiology and ultrasound departments also stated that the reason for the majority of referrals was bruises and fractures, and during a visit to the Mecca Hospital pharmacy, Dr. Marashi also stated: the drugs needed by the patients are provided in sufficient quantity and are available to them.


During this visit, several patients and their companions raised their requests in a conversation with Supreme Leader representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs. while appreciating the efforts made to provide medical and health services, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab hoped by more care in the coming days and paying attention to the recommendations of the medical staff, the hospitalized patients will be prepared to go to Arafat and Mena and be able to perform their rituals.


At the end of this visit, in a meeting with head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center, head of the Mecca hospital and those involved in the implementation of volunteer medical staff plan, head of the Iranian pilgrims gave recommendations on organizing volunteers to help the medical staff.


Presenting a report on the activities of Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center in this area, Dr. Khurshid Vuscouei said at this meeting that more than 450 medical staff and doctors were identified in this year hajj caravans and they are ready to help the center.


Reporting on the measures to formulate the structure, reform the processes and pathology of various fields, he said: by monitoring before the trip, the care of pilgrims whose cases have been examined more carefully in the medical commissions will be taken seriously.


While appreciating the actions and planning, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs said that the reduction of statistics in different departments compared to the same period last year was the result of trainings and medical recommendations and more precision in the implementation of instructions.


If equipment is needed for the treatment of patients, it should be prepared by presenting a solution and coordinating with the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, he added.
