Hojjat Al-Islam Navvab: Place and Centrality of the Kaaba in Comprehensive Plan of Faithful Life of Prophet Abraham

Referring to the fact that the Abrahamic religions are indebted to Prophet Abraham, the Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs said that the choice of the Kaaba as the center of worship is in the comprehensive plan of the faithful life of Prophet Abraham (PBUH).

According to the Hajj Information base, the conference titled "Hajj in the eyes of the leadership" for elites and intellectuals in the women's section was held on Sunday evening (Khordad 20) under the auspices of the Cultural Deputy of the Supreme Leader's Mission in the conference hall of the "Al Bald Al Tayeb" hotel.


In this conference, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, in his speech, called the presented articles very valuable and derived from the thoughts of Imam Khomeini (RA), the Supreme Leader, and the verses of the Qur'an and hadiths.


He considered Imam Khomeini (RA) to be the revivalist and explainer of the Abrahamic Hajj in the present era, and said, "The season of Hajj was also before Abul Bashar, Hazrat Adam (AS), but it was explained and announced by Prophet Abraham, a topic that was discussed in the meeting of the Supreme Leader with the participants of Hajj 1403 were also emphasized and they emphasized the necessity of explaining and introducing the biography of Prophet Abraham (AS).


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said that in line with the recommendations of the Supreme Leader, the speakers of the delegation have devoted the focus of their speeches during this year's Hajj season to the topic of Abrahamology and the introduction of Hajj as one of the achievements of Prophet Abraham (PBUH).


Pointing out that the Abrahamic religions are indebted to Prophet Abraham (PBUH), he said: "In verse 21 of Surah Al-Ahzab, God Almighty is certainly a good example for you in [imitating] the Messenger of God", Abraham (PBUH) and his companions not only for People, but rather for the prophets as examples, as in verse 123 of Surah "Nahl" then we revealed to you to follow the religion of Prophet Abraham, the righteous one." He asked Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) to follow the religion of Prophet Abraham (PBUH).


Referring to the fact that Prophet Abraham (PBUH) had a vision of a comprehensive plan of religious life, the representative of the religious guardian in matters of hajj and pilgrimage said, "Prophet Abraham (PBUH) suffered many hardships, so that he came from Palestine to the land of Mecca, and he left his son and young wife alone in this land and persevered a lot so that the religion of Islam would remain strong."


The head of Iranian pilgrims stated that the capacity of Prophet Abraham as Khalilullah and Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) as Habibullah is so high that these two great prophets can be role models for all humanity and people.


He further considered placing the Kaaba as the center of worship as one of the valuable foundations of the system and vision of Prophet Mohammad (AS), and said, "He prayed for this land to benefit from fruits and blessings, and some of these prayers are in the verses of Surahs of Baqarah, Hajj and Abraham are mentioned."


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab while pointing out that Prophet Abraham (PBUH) called everyone to morality, sincerity and worship said that Abraham Khalilullah was able to convince the sun worshipers, moon worshipers and idol worshipers with his wisdom and tact, and in diverging and dealing with The enemy did not fail.


"At the same time that the Holy Prophet of Islam emphasized convergence, he acted with divergence and crushing, as stated in verse 29 of Surah Fatah, 'Mohammad is the Messenger of God and those who are with him are merciful to the infidels. Mohammad is the prophet of God and those who are with him are strict on the disbelievers [and] kind to each other'," he added.


Referring to the personality and devotional aspects of Prophet Abraham (PBUH), the Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs said that Imam Kazem (AS) quoted the Holy Prophet (PBUH) as saying that the first person who fought with dagger was Prophet Abraham (PBUH) and Prophet Abraham rescued Prophet Lute (PBUH) who was in Roman Empire's captivity.


It should be mentioned that at the beginning of the first conference "Hajj in the perspective of the leadership", Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Hossein Roknudini, the cultural deputy of the Supreme Leader's office, presented a report on the number of articles received for this conference, and then 5 of the women whose articles were selected by the evaluation presented their articles.
