The testament of martyrs; charter of living faithfully
The ceremony of honoring families of great martyrs who have gone to the land of revelation in Hajj 1403 was held in Mecca with the presence of Supreme Leader’s representative Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs.
According to the Hajj information base, referring to the high position of the martyrs, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and head of the Iranian Pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab said in a meeting with the martyrs’ families in Mecca: the families of martyrs usually have a faithful and religious life, and their halal livelihood has provided the basis for the growth of their martyrs' children.
The families of martyrs, without having seen the Prophet (PBUH) and infallible imams, like Hajar offered their children to God in the way of preserving religion and country, according to the order of Imam Khomeini (RA), but there is a difference between the mothers of martyrs and Hajar because God accepted the children of martyrs' mothers, he added.
Pointing out that Maqam-e- Ibrahim is a clear verse of God, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs said: according to the verses of Holy Quran, Maqam-e-Ibrahim is mentioned as a place of prayer, and praying behind Maqam-e- Ibrahim is another interpretation of imitating the Imam in our Tawaf prayer.
Referring to the Uhud war, head of the Iranian pilgrims said: The Prophet of Islam honored the families of the martyrs and said about Hamza Seyyed al-Shohada (a.s.) that there is no one to cry for Hamzah, after that the families of other martyrs also mourned for him. Defeat in battle of Uhad has lessons, one of which is disobeying the leader's order.
Whenever we go after worldly wealth and spoils or forget the values and families of the martyrs, the enemies will overcome us. Visiting and honoring the families of the martyrs is an important issue that the Supreme Leader always emphasizes on, because it is the charter of living faithfully, he added.
Stating that the testament of martyrs has many lessons, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab emphasized that the testament of martyrs has many lessons. There is knowledge in the martyrs’ testament, which shows that they have achieved many virtues in a short period of time and have gone the path of 100 years in one night.
At the end of this ceremony, the families of two martyrs were honored with the presence of Hojjat al-Islam Navvab and head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Seyed Abbas Hosseini.
