Request of Head of Iranian Pilgrims From Academics
The Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab considered contemplation in Masjid al-Haram as better than any worship and while addressing the academics said, "Carrying out various programs in Mecca has various rewards, but contemplation is more important than any worship, and we should act on it."
According to the Hajj Information Base, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab at the Hajj Conference from the perspective of the Supreme Leader in the convoy of academics and professors present in Mecca said that the whole life of Prophet Abraham (PBUH) is a lesson and much of the secrets they had are still intact.
As an example, he mentioned that the method of persuasion against star worshipers and the life of creatures in the eyes of Prophet Abraham (PBUH) are among the sciences that have remained untouched. Also, the rituals of Hajj are one of the achievements of Prophet Abraham (PBUH) and for this reason, Imam Khomeini (RA) called Hajj the Abrahamic Hajj.
The head of the Iranian pilgrims reminded the importance of understanding the secrets of rituals and gaining knowledge about them in this land and he clarified about the program of the pilgrims of Baitullah Al-Haram in the post-Hajj era, and said, "When Gabriel descended on the Prophet in Khaif Mosque, he had two missions to revive the Hajj and He left it to them to appoint a successor."
"Based on this teaching, we should perform the Hajj, which is the perfection of the religion, and have an understanding of it. Also, in the land of revelation, we should use the opportunity to repent and if we have an account with someone, we should forgive it," he added.
The Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs continued that carrying out many programs in Mecca has many rewards, but thinking is more important than any act of worship and it is appropriate to act on it.
Addressing the audience, he said: "It is good to be alone with God in Masjid al-Haram and review our lives, and to review the names of those with whom we have differences or turbidity in our minds and remove the turbidity."
Congratulating him on the arrival of Ghadir Eid, he advised: Tonight, which is the night of Ghadir Eid, we should ask God for what we need out of respect for Hazrat Ali (AS).
In the end, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said: "We do not have a ban on academics to increase the number of pilgrims in Hajj caravans, but academics themselves must have Hajj vouchers."
According to the report, in this conference on the proof of Islam and Muslims, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Hossein Ruknuddini, the cultural deputy of the Supreme Leader's mission, referring to the holding of six conferences in Mecca about Hajj in the Supreme Leader's thoughts, said: One of the conferences is related to professors and academics. In order to hold this conference, "we published a call for writing articles from April and 150 articles were sent to the secretariat".
He added that after judging, a total of 9 articles were selected and presented in conferences.
In the continuation of this conference, two professors of the university presented their articles. Dr. Akbar Tohidlou explained about the rulings of Hajj in his article entitled "Hajj, the Civilizer of the Islamic Ummah". From the point of view of this researcher, each of the rules of Hajj, based on the orders of the Supreme Leader, has the ability to build civilization, and religiosity is the most important factor in building civilization, and Hajj will be an opportunity to build this. This is because multiplicity turns into unity in Hajj.
Also, Abdolmajid Talibtash, one of the other scholars present at this conference, presented his article entitled "Rituals and Works of Hajj in the View of the Supreme Leader". In his article, he researched about 15 components and rituals of Hajj, and stated that in reality, the Abrahamic Hajj is a call to Islam and a symbolic representation of the life of the Islamic society. Hajj is the center of Islamic knowledge and the expression of the general policy of Islam for managing human life.
According to this report, Hojjat al-Islam Hamed Kashani, a researcher of the field and university, requested that Iranian professors be provided with the opportunity to visit scientific centers and talk with academic personalities of the host country.
In the continuation of this conference, Dr. Mansour Shahriari reminded that the cultural improvement of academics is directly related to the cultural improvement of the society and the Hajj journey can be a starting point and a new beginning for academics who, in addition to their scientific growth, also increase their epistemological awareness.
At the end of this conference, Dr. Azizi read a memoir about Hajj.
