Half A century of Efforts and Scientific Services of Maulavi Is'haq Madani Celebrated in Mecca
In the scientific meeting of educated Sunni pilgrims in Mecca, half a century of efforts and scientific and cultural services of Maulavi Is'haq Madani, the head of the Council of Afta of the Supreme Leader's Office and the head of the Supreme Council of the Approximation of Islamic Religions, were honored.
In this meeting, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, the Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs, presented a certificate of appreciation for the efforts and services of Mr. Maulvi Is'haq Madani as the official of the Ahl al-Sunnah Council of the Supreme Leader's Office.
In the continuation of this meeting, Maulvi Is'haq Madani, while appreciating the favors of the Supreme Leader's mission to him, said: "This program is not just a celebration of one person and shows that the system of the Islamic Republic of Iran does not make any difference between all fellow Sunnis and Shiites."
"I was born in the most remote and deprived part of Iran, but I have the honor to be in the most important international conference next to the highest official of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This honor is due to the holy system of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the views of the officials of this system," he added.
Maulvi Is'haq Madani while referring to the unfortunate situation of Sunnis before the revolution, said that prominent Sunni clerics spoke proudly of a meeting that was actually a humiliating meeting with Asadullah Alam. "The situation of Sunnis and their scholars during the former regime was like this."
Maulvi Is'haq Madani noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran does not discriminate against different religions, including Shia and Sunni.
The head of Iranian Pilgrims praised and thanked Maulvi Is'haq Madani for his activities in the mission of the Supreme Leader and for providing service to the fellow Sunnis of our country.
It should be mentioned that Maulvi Is'haq Madani was born in 1325 in Saravan. He received his higher education in the seminaries of Karachi, Pakistan, and the Islamic community of Medina, and has the experience of representing the Assembly of Leadership Experts, the Islamic Council, three terms of adviser to the president on matters of religions and religions, the head of the Supreme Council for the Approximation of Religions, as well as cultural and preaching presence in 50 countries.
