Head of Iranian Pilgrims Visits Intra-City Transport in Mecca

In continuation of his visits, the head of Iranian pilgrims visited the intra-city transport station of Gaza in the city of Mecca.

According to Hajj Information Base, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab along Seyed Abbas Hosseini, head of Iran's Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, came to the intra-city transportation station of near Masjid al-Haram today, and closely followed the process of serving Iranian pilgrims.


The Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs, while praising God, appreciated the efforts of the transport forces in the city, who were guiding and providing services to the pilgrims in the hot and exhausting weather of these days in Mecca, and gave recommendations to these servants to provide the best possible service to pilgrims.


In this visit, the Iranian pilgrims saw the head of the Iranian pilgrims and their companions and expressed their satisfaction with the services provided and said their efforts are commendable.


A number of pilgrims from Southeast Asian countries, who use this station to travel from their hotels to Masjid Al-Haram, saw the head of the Iranian pilgrims in various dialects, expressed their devotion and greeted Hojjat al-Islam Navvab and took a souvenir photo. 


It should be mentioned that the transportation stations within the city of Iranian pilgrims in Mecca include; Jamarat, Madzah, Kadi, Ejayad and Gaza, and Bab Ali and Bab Malek stations are special stations for public buses or rotary buses.


Nasser Mirayiz, the transportation manager of Mecca region 3, reported during this visit that about 18,000 pilgrims go directly to the shrine using the Gaza station, and the largest population of Iranian pilgrims in the 5 geographical regions of Mecca live in this area.


Pointing out that this service continues 24 hours a day, he said that appropriate solutions have been devised to guide the pilgrims who visit this station by mistake, as well as the objects that are found.


"During the peak days, up to 500 trips were recorded daily, and now due to the decrease in pilgrims, it has reached 300," he added.


Therefore, according to the report, during this year's Hajj, Iranian pilgrims travel to more than ten hotels from Gaza station, and in total, pilgrims benefit from the intra-city transportation cycle in Mecca on more than 20 bus lines.
