Dispatch of Iranian Pilgrims by Haramin Train Continues From Mecca to Medina

The Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs and accompanying delegation visited the Haramain express train station in Mecca on Thursday and closely examined the way of providing services to the pilgrims of Medina After.

According to the Hajj Information Base, the head of Iranian pilgrims and the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization attended the Haramin express train station in Mecca and were informed about the process of serving the pilgrims of Medina After.

Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab along with Seyed Abbas Hosseini and some other officials of Hajj Tamattu attended the direction of monitoring and reviewing the services provided to pilgrims at the Haramin express train station in Mecca. They had a close conversation with them and wished them a journey with health and spirituality.

The head of the Iranian pilgrims and the accompanying delegation closely examined the transfer process of the pilgrims at the Mecca-Medina express train station and talked with some of them.

During this visit, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab and his companions went to two large tents with a capacity of 300 and 465 people for pilgrims to rest before entering the train. A number of pilgrims, after seeing the Hojjat al-Islam Navvab and his companions, appreciated the services and facilities provided to facilitate the trip to Madinah.

The head of Iran's Pilgrims accepted the pilgrimage and wished the pilgrims a pleasant trip. He stated that all the servants of Hajj and Pilgrimage are trying to get the maximum satisfaction of the pilgrims and that they can do their deeds and worship in the city of the Prophet (PBUH) with ease.

According to the report, during this year's Hajj season, all Iranian pilgrims from Madinah before and Madinah after will travel the distance between the two cities of Madina and Mecca and vice versa by high-speed train in less than 2 hours and 30 minutes. Intercity transportation takes about 8 hours.

The first convoys of Iranian pilgrims of Hajj Tamattu 1403 left Medina for Mecca on the evening of Ordibehesht 29 with the Haramin express train. On Thursday's visit, several caravans of Sunni pilgrims were on their way from Mecca to Medina.

Ali Asghar Nabati, the person in charge of sending pilgrims by express train from Mecca to Medina station, in a report that he presented to the head of Iranian pilgrims and the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, said that the space of the tents has a suitable temperature with the use of air conditioners, and it is suitable for the transport of weak pilgrims. A sufficient number of wheelchairs and workers have been provided.

According to him, the pilgrims are taken by bus from their hotel to the train station, and after entering the tents and taking a short rest, they are directed to the station to board the train.

"About 2,000 pilgrims are transported to Medina by seven trains daily, and this operation starts at 8:00 AM and ends in about twelve and twenty minutes," he added.

It should be mentioned that the use of the Haramain high-speed train, which has the ability to transport passengers from Medina to Mecca and vice versa, was done on a trial basis during the Hajj season last year.

For the well-being of Iranian pilgrims, as well as to preserve the health, honor and dignity of the pilgrims, the Ministry of Hajj Organization planned to transport all Iranian pilgrims by high-speed train between the cities of Medina and Mecca.

One of the most important advantages of using the high-speed train is the speed in transporting the pilgrims, increasing the safety in the journey, as well as reducing the fatigue along the way, and providing a better opportunity for pilgrimage and doing deeds and worship.

This report indicates that the pilgrims, in a conversation with the Hajj information website reporter, expressed their satisfaction with the process of transportation by Haramain train and with the services of this year's Hajj officials and the field presence of the head of Iranian pilgrims and the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization to monitor and review the status of the station.
