Head of Iranian Pilgrims Returned to Iran

The Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and pilgrimage returned to the Islamic homeland at the end of the journey to the land of revelation and performing the Hajj ceremony.

According to the Hajj Information Base, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, also head of Iranian pilgrims, arrived in Tehran this evening along with convoys of Iranian pilgrims.

At the welcoming ceremony of the head of Iranian pilgrims at Imam Khomeini Airport, Ayatollah Haj Sheikh Mohsen Qomi, the International Deputy of the Office of the Supreme Leader, Abdullah Bin Saud Al-Anzi, the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Iran, and several deputies of the Hajj and Pilgrimage and Delegation of the Supreme Leader were present

Hojjat al-Islam Navvab, while returning from the Land of Revelation, said in a speech while honoring the Muharram days: "We thank God for making it possible for us to serve the guests of Rahman, so that we can be present during the Hajj season. This year's Hajj was bitter and sweet for us and the pilgrims of Baitullah Al-Haram."

He stated that the martyrdom of Ayatollah Raisi and Dr. Amir Abdollahian, who were the beloved president of the nation and the foreign minister of our country, made the taste of the pilgrims bitter. And Hajj also found another meaning and Arbaeen was organized.

"We wish success for the future president of our country, and we expect him to hold the Hajj Council among the first meetings. May God's blessings be upon Martyr Raisi who personally managed such meetings," he added.

Referring to the other bitterness of this year's Hajj, the leader of Iranian pilgrims reminded that some of the bitterness was related to the restrictions imposed by the host country, of course, "we have always tried to comply with the rules and regulations of the host country. In this connection, the pilgrims should be taught and then they should apply the practices. This year, for the first time, a number of our media pilgrims were returned to the country from the Land of Revelation before performing the Hajj, and also one of our compatriots was not allowed to visit in prison, and under these conditions, he could not perform the Hajj properly."

Referring to the hot weather and death of pilgrims from Iran and other countries, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said that measures have been taken and the cooperation of pilgrims was the main reason for the 30 percent decrease in death of Iranian pilgrims compared to countries that had the same level of pilgrims.

Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said about Hajj sweets: "Participation in the political and social affairs of the elections in this year's Hajj was pleasant for Iranian pilgrims, and the pilgrims thanked the officials of the host country many times. This was not the first time that elections were held in the host country, and this was also the case in Umrah. This year, immediately after the approval of the officials of the host country, the tariffs and ballot boxes were placed in the hotels of Mecca and Medina, and voting took place according to the country's regulations."

The head of Iranian Pilgrims added that in addition, according to the Supreme Leader's recommendation to hold a unity-oriented Hajj, this ceremony was held at the same time in all tents of Iranian pilgrims in Arafat. "Of course, there were limitations in holding the Kumail prayer ceremony, and some of these ceremonies would not have taken place without the presence of the host."

According to this report, the head of the Iranian pilgrims also clarified about the holding of Kumeil prayer in the Holy Shrine: "The Holy Shrine is now in the path of the pilgrims and we are not satisfied with taking their path. By the grace of God, the roof of Nabi Mosque has a very good atmosphere, which can be very interesting for Iranian pilgrims. We have been making this request for two years and if this cooperation is done, the Hajj pilgrimage will be very pleasant for Iranian pilgrims."

He also called the activities of Nour Qur'anic Caravan in programs such as human and knowledge, familiarity with the Qur'an and recitation among the pilgrims as impressive, and he reminded that things like facilitating the provision of Zamzam water, improving the condition of the throat, and culpability in Mena are some of the cases. "We have made suggestions, but the officials of the host country want it to be done according to their opinion."

He reminded that all the administrative matters of the pilgrims in their transportation from Medina to Mecca and vice versa were carried out by the Haramin high-speed train, and this work accelerated the work of Hajj and prevented erosion. Very good services were provided in Arafat and Masha'ar, but the pilgrims objected to the conditions of Mena. This year, the lack of space in Mena caused the pilgrims some resentment.

In another part of his speech, the head of Iranian pilgrims described the health and treatment services as good and stated: What was done by the Academy of Medical Sciences in the matter of pilgrims' physical ability was a great achievement and the number of deaths due to the heat is less than 70% of the years it was before. "Pilgrims used umbrellas in Mena and next year we will use umbrellas to prevent heatstroke."

Referring to the preparations for holding Arbaeen and Umrah, the Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said, "We should slowly prepare for Arbaeen and Umrah, and we hope that these two items will be welcomed by the elected president in the meeting of the Supreme Hajj Council. The time of performing Umrah also depends on the flight schedule and the required currency."

He clarified that preliminary plans have been made for the Umrah trip and hotels have been identified and some points have been discussed. "Currently, nearly 6 million people have Umrah slips in their hands, and the re-establishment of Umrah and its activation after 9 years is one of the memories of our martyr Ayatollah Raisi.

Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also stated about the upcoming Hajj that we should seek to make the Hajj time shorter because the pilgrims suffer psychologically and this should be achieved with proper planning.

It should be mentioned that Hojjat al-Islam Navvab during his 8-week trip to the Land of Revelation had many and varied programs in the fields of culture, performance, service, etc. during this year's Hajj season.
