Hojjat Al-Islam Navvab: Cost of Resistance Is Less Than Surrender

According to Hajj Information Base, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab while speaking at the international conference 'Resistance and Stability in the School of Imam Ali (AS) which was held at Safi Safa Shrine in Najaf Ashraf, citing Hadiths emphasized the importance of resistance and said that resistance and standing follows the descent of angels; the same angels who came to the aid of Islam in the Battle of Badr.

"Even today in occupied Palestine and in the Gaza Strip, a small group has stood up and resisted the Muslim population and made the whole world aware of them. Standing in the line of Imam Ali (AS), which is the line of resistance against polytheists, has changed the world's attitude in favor of Palestine and against the occupying regime of Jerusalem.

"Today, the flag of Palestine is above the hands and the flag of the Zionist regime is under the feet. Endurance and resistance are so important that all the victories of Islam are the result of this," he added.

Hojjat al-Islam Navvab stated that the Prophet (PBUH) said that if you want the religion to reach a certain place, you must proceed with perseverance, and pointed out that temporary propagation and resistance will not get you anywhere, but it must be continuous and continuous.

Pointing out that in the words of Imam Ali (AS) in Nahj al-Balagha, he said that one of the results of success is resistance.

"After perseverance, in case of problems, one should have patience and devotion in order to achieve victory. In another noble hadith, Imam Ali (AS) says that the cost of perseverance is less than surrender," Hojjat al-Islam Navvab added.

Stating that perseverance is the only path to victory at a low cost, he continued that Imam Ali (AS) says that if you see that the supporters of righteousness are few, don't hesitate about the way and choose the right path even if its pedestrians are limited.

Hojjat al-Islam Navvab while referring to the current situation in Gaza and the stance of the oppressed people of that region in front of the capitalist and big countries of the world that support the Zionist regime, said: "The world knows that the war is not between Hamas and the occupying regime, because if it was, it would not last even a week. The war is between Hamas and the arrogant world. Every day ships carrying US and European weapons reach the occupation regime of Jerusalem, but the people of Gaza do not stop resisting and have surprised the world."

Pointing out that in the culture of resistance, one should not show weakness, but one should stand firm, he added: "Imam Ali's (AS) family made resistance their top priority. Hazrat Zainab (SA) made both explanation and resistance jihad in Sham and Kufa.

He emphasized that Zainabi's resistance made the oppressive rulers disgraced and the enlightenment of the Holy Prophet changed the people's view of the government. "We should learn from this resistance, which has great achievements, for the advancement of religious and Islamic foundations."

According to this report, in this conference, several thinkers and academic and religious figures from Iran, Iraq and Tunisia, including Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini, the representative of the Supreme Leader in Iraq, Sheikh Ali Bashir Al-Najafi and Sheikh Khaled Al-Nu'mani from the scholars of Najaf, Seyed Zuhair Al-Masilini from Tunisia and Karim Najafi Barzegar, the head of the Union of Virtual Universities of the Islamic World, also gave a speech and explained their views on the resistance front and the necessity of Jihad, and described it as necessary to clarify the achievements of the resistance front.
