Supreme Leader Delegation Office and Hajj and Pilgrimage officials meet in Karbala at the eve of Arbaeen

On the eve of Hosseini's Arbaeen, a meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization was held in Karbala, and the proceedings of the organizations and institutions involved in holding this huge public event were reviewed.

According to the Hajj information base, this meeting was held on Tuesday (Mordad 30) in the presence of Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab and head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Seyed Abbas Hosseini in Karbala.


Referring to the increase in the presence of Iranian pilgrims in Iraq, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs stated: Arbaeen ceremony is being performed peacefully despite the heat weather.


Referring to the responsibilities of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization during the Arbaeen season, he clarified: Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, as a servant of the pilgrims, must provide sufficient and necessary information in the various areas of the pilgrim's presence in Iraq.


Stating that before registering, pilgrims must be informed about the current conditions and conditions inside Iraq, including in the areas of accommodation, nutrition, security and transportation, etc., from the relevant authorities, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab emphasized that the pilgrims should have the necessary information about this issue and called officials inform pilgrims before registering.


In this meeting, Mr. Hosseini emphasized on the necessity of creating better conditions for the pilgrims in this spiritual journey as one of the priorities of the Hajj organization and clarified: comprehensive information will minimize the pilgrims’ damages in the host country so that they can perform their pilgrimage in health.


In the continuation of this meeting, the representative of the insurance company pointed out that more than 7,400 cases of services have been provided to Hosseini pilgrims and announced the number of deceased pilgrims in Iraq and Iran as 23 and 3, respectively, and said: 207 cases have been hospitalized so far and more than 6,800 outpatients have been reported, and with the cooperation of the Red Crescent Society, the bodies of the deceased and the priority patients will be sent to the country as soon as possible.


Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs also emphasized on providing more information to pilgrims about how to access insurance services in different routes and cities between the routes.
