Coincidence with the 9th anniversary of Mena disaster;
Pay tribute to the martyrs of Mena and Mecca
Coinciding with the 9th anniversary of the Mena disaster, Supreme Leader's Mission and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization officials attended the graves of these two disasters martyrs and honored their memory.
According to the Hajj information base, in the anniversary of Mena tragedy martyrs and the fall of crane in Masjid Al-Haram in 94 and Mecca in 66 and the Holy Defense Week, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab and head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Seyed Abbas Hosseini, along with their deputies, attended the graves of the Mena, Mecca disaster and Holy Defense martyrs in Behesht Zahra and paid tribute to them.
Head of the Iranian pilgrims and chairman of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization honored the dignity of these precious martyrs by reciting Fatiha.
Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab and his companions also attending the graves of the bloody Hajj martyrs in the year 66 and the high-ranking martyrs of Beheshti, Rajaei, Bahonar and the martyrs of the 7th Tir 1360, offered flowers and reciting the Fatiha and also honored their memory. They paid their respects to the pure souls of the defenders of Islam and Islamic Iran.
In the margin of this program, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab honored the martyrs of Mecca and Mena disaster and said: they rushed to meet God while they were in the positions of the prophets and joined the meeting of God at the best time and place and received their reward from God.
Stating that the authorities of Hajj and Pilgrimage have always pursued the rights of the martyrs of Mena and Masjid Al-Haram in these years, head of the Iranian Pilgrims added: Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution said that "the memory of the martyrs of Mena should not be forgotten" and on this occasion, the officials of Hajj and Pilgrimage Complex on the anniversary of these martyrs, come to their graves and honor the memory of these dear ones.
It should be mentioned that in the bitter and sad tragedy of Mena, which happened at the same time as Eid al-Adha in the Hajj season of 1394, thousands of pilgrims, including 464 Iranian pilgrims, were martyred while wearing Ihram.
