Number of Umrah Pilgrims Exceeds 7,000
In a meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of the Supreme Leader's Mission and Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, it was announced that the number of Umrah pilgrims sent to the Land of Revelation exceeded 7,000 people.
According to the Hajj Information Base, in today's meeting of the planning and coordination council of the Supreme Leader's representative office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, which was formed under the chairmanship of Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, the deputy of Hajj and Umrah affairs of the organization added that these pilgrims are in the form of 69 caravans from 17 and will be sent to the land of revelation through six flight stations.
Gholamreza Rezaei added that until today, more than 71,600 people have completed their information in the registration system, and 26,866 people have deposited money and are ready to be dispatched after receiving the flight date.
He said that in order to respond to the requests of those interested, the flight capacity will be increased to four flights daily from October 17th, and more than a thousand people will go on the Umrah journey.
Referring to the process of welcoming registration in Umrah caravans, Rezaei expressed hope that the plans made for Umrah 1403 will be realized and if more planes are provided, new capacities will be added in the months of Rajab and Sha'ban and the number of pilgrims will exceed to 170,000.
He also presented a report on the strengths of the Hajj operation and the activities that can be improved and upgraded in different parts of the Hajj, and the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization also announced dispatch of a housing committee to Saudi Arabia to complete the process of renting Hajj 1404 hotels next week.
Abbas Hosseini added: "Pre-registration of Hajj pilgrims is supposed to be done before the end of November, and due to the importance of pilgrims' medical examinations, coordination will be done with the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center."
In the continuation of this meeting, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab asked the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization to follow up and coordinate the necessary arrangements for holding a meeting of the Supreme Hajj Council, considering the process that has started regarding the Hajj plans.
Referring to the beginning of the return of the first caravans of Umrah pilgrims from the Land of Revelation to the country, the Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs added that a large number of those who are interested in this trip are waiting in line and those involved should try and plan so that more people can visit the Land of Revelation.
In the continuation of this meeting, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Hossein Rukn al-Dini, the cultural deputy of the supreme leader's office, reported on the cultural services provided to Iranian pilgrims during the Umrah journey and the restrictions that existed in the host country. Hojjat al-Islam Navvab and Head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization presented a certificate of appreciation for the services and efforts of Iman Shamsaei, Vice President of Development of Management and Resources of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization during the tenure of this post, and Mr. Ismail Rostami was introduced as the new Deputy Director of Hajj and Pilgrimage of Qom province.
According to this report, at the beginning of this meeting, the representative of the legal guardian in matters of Hajj and Pilgrimage offered his condolences on the martyrdom of the Secretary General of Hezbollah of Lebanon Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, to Imam Asr (AS) and the Supreme Leader.
"The path of martyrs of resistance has been praised all over the world and the crime of the Zionist regime has been condemned," he added.
