Dispatching more than 23,000 Umrah pilgrims to the land of revelation

The number of Iranian pilgrims who have dispatched to the land of revelation has exceeded 23,000 people, it was announced at the meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization.

According to the Hajj information base, at the meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization which was held under the chairmanship of Supreme Leader representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab; the CEO of Umrah Saadat Company added: currently, more than ten thousand and 100 Iranian pilgrims have accommodation in Mecca and Medina, and 13,250 people returned to Iran after performing the Umrah rituals.


Mr. Nasrollah Farahmand said that arrangements have been made to send pilgrims in the months of Rajab, Sha'ban and Ramadan, and according to the cooperation of Central Bank and Melli Bank and also conditions of the airline, payment of foreign currency and the transfer of pilgrims have also been facilitated.


The meeting continued with Mr. Seyed Abbas Hosseini's report on the status of Umrah registration and sending the housing committee to Saudi Arabia in order to rent and supply Hajj hotels.


So far, more than 110,000 Umrah pilgrims have completed their information in the system, and 55,326 people have confirmed their registration in the caravan along with depositing money and identifying their caravans, head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization said.


Pointing out that there are about 5,700,000 Umrah documents available to the people, Supreme Leader representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs emphasized that efforts should be made to send more applicants to the Land of Revelation in the remaining months.


This meeting continued with the report of Mr. Taher Daroudi and Mr. Hadi Jalali, representatives of Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center and inspection management of Supreme Leader Delegation Office regarding providing medical services in Umrah and Hajj and the pathology in this area and also the process of dispatching pilgrims to holy shrines and solutions In order to serve better and increase the number of pilgrims due to the effect of currency price increase.


Supreme Leader representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs expressed recommendations in each area and stated that necessary measures should be done so that the things that can be improved in the field of health and treatment are realized, and the managers of Hajj and Pilgrimage organization in the provinces should also make more efforts to increase the number of pilgrims who are to be dispatched to Atabat while using appropriate solutions.


According to this report, at the beginning of this meeting, head of the Iranian pilgrims congratulated and condoled the martyrdom of Yahya al-Sinwar, head of the political office of Hamas movement by the occupation regime of Quds Sharif and said: the struggle, sacrifice and resistance of this noble martyr until the last moments of his life in confronting the oppressors will remain in the minds of the people.


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab emphasized: this hero, despite being injured, did not shy away from facing the enemy and his spirit, behavior and his image of victory in defense of Islamic thought, the oppressed nation of Palestine and the homeland all over the world will remain especially among freedom-loving people and other people following the path of martyr Sinwar; the myth of Palestinian resistance;  will help this good family and, God willing, we will see victory in Gaza and Palestine.
