Hojjat al-Islam Navvab: All No Matter Administrator or Cleric Should Be Humble to Pilgrims
The meeting of managers and clerics of this year's Hajj and Umrah caravans was held in the meeting hall of the Mashhad Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization in the presence of Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, the Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs.
According to the Hajj Information Base, the head of Iranian pilgrims in this conference, citing a narration from Hazrat Fatemeh (SA) and quoting the Prophet of Islam (PBUH), considered humbly serving pilgrims as one of the duties of caravan managers and clerics.
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also emphasized on the intimacy and harmony between the manager and the cleric of the caravan, and said that all of us, managers and clerics, should be humble for the pilgrims.
Referring to the recent ceremony commemorating the Hojjat al-Islam Rashed Yazdi, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab mentioned him as a humble, moral and revolutionary orator who can be a model for caravan managers and clerics.
The head of the Iranian pilgrims referred to this saying of Imam Ali (AS) who said that the fruit of humbleness is love, and added, "The result of humbleness and serving the pilgrim is the love that is placed in the heart of the pilgrim."
An open and smiling face, patience in responding, respectful treatment, knowledge and piety were other characteristics that Hojjat al-Islam Navvab listed for the managers and clerics of the caravan.
In another part of his speech, the representative of the Supreme Leader of Hajj and Pilgrimage pointed out the restrictions of the host country for pilgrims, that in order to realize the plan of attracting 30 million pilgrims in 2030, they should have positive interactions with pilgrims instead of negative interactions.
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also pointed to the history of occupation by the Zionist regime in the occupied territories of Palestine, and said, "The child-killing regime had no right in that land and has usurped it."
He considered the output of Western thought and civilization to be crimes in regimes like the Zionist regime, and added, "Of course, some people say that these are signs of the coming of age to discourage humanity from paying attention to the powers that can create a happy life for the society.
At the end of the conference, the head of Iranian pilgrims answered a number of questions from the attendees and in response to one of these questions about holding specialized programs for pilgrims, he said, "One of the ways to provide specialized explanations to interested pilgrims is to set a special time by the caravan's clergy. It is in the caravan itself to present specialized topics and respond to them."
