Hojjat al-Islam Navvab: Enemy Harmed by Basiji Ideology
In a ceremony commemorating Basij (volunteer forces) Week, which was held with the presence of officials and employees of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab pointed out that the presence of Basijis in various fields has had positive and valuable effects, and emphasized: "The Basiji thinking and spirit have spread throughout the world, and the enemy has been harmed by this thinking."
According to the Hajj Information Base, the Basij Week commemoration ceremony, along with the recitation of the Ashura pilgrimage, was on Tuesday (November 19), in the presence of Hojjat al-Islam Navvab and Head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Alireza Bayat, a group of deputies and directors of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, the Supreme Leader's delegation, and the employees of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization in the prayer room of this organization.
In this ceremony, the representative of the Supreme Leader for Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs, in his speech, pointed out that the late Imam Khomeini revived the Basij thought in the present era, and stated: "This thought has become so valuable and developed today that we are witnessing the celebration of Hussein's Day (AS) alongside the White House and other countries during the days of Hussein's Ashura and the world's attention to Islam."
"If the Fatemiyoun and Zainabiyoun are present on the frontlines of the battle against the enemies of Islam today, it is due to the Basiji thought and spirit that has spread throughout the world and the enemy has been harmed by this thought," he added.
Pointing out that the Basiji ideology existed during the time of the Prophet, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab recalled some of the Prophet's battles and the presence of different factions in these wars, and stated: The Basiji ideology is an ideology that in the Battle of Uhud, the martyr (Imam Ali) received seventy blows to his body, but he did not leave the Prophet alone. "This ideology was learned by free souls and souls imbued with the love of the Ahl al-Bayt from their Imam, and today it prevails in many parts of the world."
Stating that God has bestowed this connection and spirit on the people of this era after centuries, he added: "The late Imam changed people's view of this world and the hereafter, and it was inspired by this view that the Commander of the Righteous Islam willed that the following be written on his grave: Soldier Qassem Soleimani."
He stated that in a world where everyone seeks to be addressed with titles, this is the utmost humbleness.
The Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs while pointing out that the late Imam Khomeini, despite being superior and endowed with various sciences, considered himself a Basiji and a servant of the people, emphasized: "Self-improvement is more difficult than acquiring knowledge, and the Imam was successful in fighting the ego."
He clarified that Basiji thinking does not mean that a person is known as a Basij organization, but rather that he must have this spirit and thinking in his soul and mind and keep it alive.
Stating that the enemy is trying to destroy the Basiji thinking and spirit, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab advised the attendees not to forget to calculate their actions from time to time, adding: "Serving the society and people morally and spiritually stems from the Basiji spirit."
He pointed out that inspired by this spirit, today the women of "our country donate their most valuable asset, which is their wedding ring, to help the people of Gaza and Lebanon", and said: "Steadfastness is achieved with the help of the Almighty. These dear ones helped God, and God has also given them stability and they are helping Muslims who are nearly two thousand kilometers away from them, and this is very valuable."
He clarified that the US and its servants, who have destroyed many Palestinian families and are worse than the ravenous wolves of history, will not succeed in their conspiracy, and God willing, "we will witness the victory of the selfless and Muslim nation in West Asia".
The Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs, citing narrations from the Prophet (PBUH) and Imam Ali (AS), referred to the words of the Prophet (PBUH) about the Jihad of Explanation, and emphasized, "Today is the day of the Jihad of Explanation, and the Supreme Leader has repeatedly said that the Jihad of Explanation is very important and must be taken seriously."
He said that the Jihad of Explanation is manifesting itself in the world today, and with the Jihad of Explanation by the Basijis in Gaza, global hatred towards the child-killing regime has been created.
Pointing out that the struggles and sacrifices of the Basijis on the fronts of the war resulted in pride-inspiring victories, he clarified: Perseverance brings dignity, and the people of Gaza, inspired by the Quran, have persevered so much that Westerners are looking for it, to understand what is hidden in the verses of the Quran that educate them in this way.
Referring to the narration of Imam Ali (AS), "There is no path more noble than steadfastness and perseverance," he added: "There is no path more noble than steadfastness." The Supreme Leader also said that the cost of steadfastness is less than compromise, and steadfastness is more blessed.
According to this report, the representative of the Supreme Leader for Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs, at the beginning of his speech, while honoring the memory of the martyrs of the imposed war, the Basij, the Resistance Front, and the days of the martyrdom of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (SA), mentioned that lady of two houses as a devoted Basiji in the path of Islam, and said: "When that noble lady is asked about Ali and the Commander of the Faithful is asked about Hazrat Fatima, the world is not mentioned, but a good helper for the Hereafter is mentioned."
The report states that at this ceremony, the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization also made a short speech, referring to the value and status of the Basij spirit and culture, and stated: "Before being a structure and organization, Basij is a culture that is not only specific to wartime, but also a jihadist mindset that is manifested in the fields of war, management, science, culture, art, and so on."
"Inspired by this culture, we should not stop at the Hajj and pilgrimage complex and move forward on the path of serving the guests of the Most Gracious and the pilgrims of the Holy Shrine," he added.
Mr. Bayat emphasized, "If we prioritize innovation, new thinking and more effort combined with prudence and knowledge in this path, we will be an example of the Basiji and we hope that with this thinking and spirit we will succeed in our mission."
