Head of Supreme Leader's Representative Office in Universities Meets Head of Iranian Pilgrims
The head of the Supreme Leader's representative body in universities met with the Supreme Leader's representative for Hajj and pilgrimage affairs and discussed and exchanged views on academic pilgrimages.
According to the Hajj Information Base, Hojjat al-Islam Mustafa Rostami, head of the Supreme Leader's Representative Institution in Universities, along with Hojjat al-Islam Morteza Motaharipour, head of the Umrah and Shrines Headquarters for Academics, met and held talks with Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, the Supreme Leader's Representative for Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs and the Head of Iranian Pilgrims, at the Supreme Leader's office today.
During the meeting, the head of the Supreme Leader's Representative Institution in Universities provided explanations about the plans made regarding the pilgrimage trips of academics.
Noting that the registration of academics has begun in four groups on the Labaik website from Monday Hojjat al-Islam Rostami appreciated the interaction between the Supreme Leader's Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization to send 4,000 students and professors of the country on Umrah trips this year.
The manner and amount of facilities provided to student pilgrims, the number of Umrah periods and their dates, and the cultural programs of university pilgrims were other topics discussed in this meeting.
Referring to the university community's enthusiasm for pilgrimage to the Holy Shrine and the Two Holy Mosques, the representative of the Supreme Leader for Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs emphasized the need for cooperation, planning, and interaction among all those involved in this field to facilitate the pilgrimage trips of university students.
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab reminded of the importance of holding educational and briefing classes for student caravans and expressed his hope that with the planning made, students and academics will benefit as much as possible from the spiritual atmosphere of these trips, which have many effects and blessings, and will experience a good and fruitful journey to the land of revelation.
