Pre-registration of more than 12,000 eligible to perform next Hajj

From Azar 5th until last night, more than 12,200 people have completed preliminary registration (pre-registration) to perform Hajj Tamattu 1404, it was announced at the meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization.

According to the Hajj information base, Hajj and Umrah deputy of this organization, while announcing this news, added: Pre-registration for holders of deposit receipts for Shahrivar 1386 will begin today, and the next priorities will be announced in order until capacity is completed. Mr. Gholamreza Rezaei made this statement at the meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization chaired by Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and head of the Iranian Pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab.


Presenting statistics on the welcome rate of registration for the upcoming Hajj in various provinces, Mr. Gholamreza Rezaei announced that the capacity of Umrah trips will be filled within the next month and referred to planning and creating a platform for increasing Umrah trips.


So far, about 92,000 Umrah pilgrims have deposited money, and the number of dispatches has reached to 66,000, and it would be tried we will not see a significant increase in the cost of traveling during the months of Rajab and Sha'ban, he added.


Mr. Nasrollah Farahmand, CEO of Umrah Saadat Company, also mentioned the company's plans to transport Umrah pilgrims using foreign airlines. Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs also said whatever is beneficial to the pilgrims and leads to savings has always been of interest to pilgrims' servants during Hajj and Umrah journeys.


Student Umrah expeditions and emphasis on increasing the number of Umrah pilgrims next year were among the other topics discussed at the meeting.


The meeting continued with a report by Dr. Seyed Ali Marashi, head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage medical center, regarding the increase in pilgrim visits to the center's clinics in Medina and Mecca and the purchase of medicine needed by the center from the host country in order to provide more desirable medical and therapeutic services.


Management and Resources Development deputy of Hajj and Pilgrimage organization Mr. Ismail Rostami also mentioned the method of selecting insurance companies during the Hajj and Umrah seasons and expeditions to the Atabat-e-Aliyat and Arbaeen.


Chairman of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization also suggested that from now on, when concluding an insurance contract, the consolidation of activities in Hajj, Umrah, Atabat and Arbaeen should be considered with one insurance company, and only capable companies should be invited for tenders.


Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs also reminded paying attention to the ability, motivation, and good record of insurance companies in providing services to pilgrims, and emphasized: contracts must be concluded at appropriate time to include the activities of the Hajj and pilgrimage complex.


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also called for using Umrah opportunity to support activities during the Hajj season, saying: in the remaining time, wherever possible, organizing and planning should be done more quickly.


According to this report, Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs, in a speech at the beginning of the meeting, offered condolences on the martyrdom days of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (PBUH).
