Hojjat al-Islam Navvab Meets Iran's Ambassador to Tanzania
Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, who has traveled to Dar es-Salaam, met and talked with Iran's ambassador to Tanzania.
According to the Hajj Information Base, the representative of the Supreme Leader for Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs, who traveled to Dar es-Salaam, the capital of Tanzania, met and discussed with Mr. Hossein Alvandi, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the country.
During the meeting, Iran's ambassador to Dar es-Salaam referred to the history of Iran-Tanzania relations and emphasized the importance of these relations.
Referring to some of the existing capacities of the two countries, Mr. Alvandi presented a report on the measures taken in recent years by the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran to develop economic and cultural relations between the two sides.
The Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs also attended the closing ceremony of the Zurkhaneh training course and gave a speech to the athletes participating in the course.
This training course was held for two weeks with the support of the Cultural Affairs Office of Iran and in cooperation with the Tanzanian Zurkhaneh Association, with the presence of Iranian mentors and wrestlers.
At this ceremony, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab explained the role of this sport in strengthening the human spirit and body, referring to the characteristics of Zurkhaneh.
He advised the young people participating in this course to pay attention to the moral characteristics of this sport, such as courage, chivalry, etc., and to improve their morals by practicing this sport in addition to strengthening their bodies.
The Supreme Leader's Representative for Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs also thanked those involved, especially the Cultural Counselor of Iran in Tanzania, for holding a training course in the sport of Zurkhaneh, which has a deep connection with Iranian culture and history.
At the end of the congregational prayer, led by Hojjat al-Islam Navvab, was held in the premises of our Iran's counseling center.
It is worth noting that the Supreme Leader's Representative for Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs arrived at Dar es-Salaam International Airport in Tanzania on Saturday and was welcomed by Ambassador Alvandi and Mohsen Ma'arefi, Cultural Counselor of Iran, and Hojjat al-Islam Ali Taghavi, Representative of the Mustafa Community in Tanzania.
