Number of Umrah Pilgrims Reaches Limit of 100,000 People

In the meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of the Supreme Leader's Mission and Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, it was announced that the number of Umrah pilgrims sent to the Land of Revelation has exceeded 97,000 people.

According to the Hajj information Base, in today's meeting of the planning and coordination council of the delegation of the Supreme Leader and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, which was formed under the chairmanship of Hojjat ​​al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, Mr. Nasrullah Farahmand, the CEO of Umrah Saadat Institute, described the conditions for providing services in Umrah journeys well. He said that the number of pilgrims sent to the land of revelation has surpassed 97,000 people.


He pointed to the measures taken to send student Umrah caravans, and said, "If it is accepted, there is a field for sending students as well."


In this meeting, the number of deaths since the beginning of the Umrah operation was announced to be 19, and Umrah pilgrims are advised to do their activities calmly and away from stress and pressure.


Referring to the purchase of medicines from Saudi Arabia to meet the needs of Umrah pilgrims, the Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage asked the staff of the Medical Center for Hajj and Pilgrimage to take the necessary measures to provide the necessary medicines for the upcoming Hajj season and in the negotiations with the Saudi authorities to request to speed up the issuance of licenses for the transfer and clearance of drugs.


In the continuation of this meeting, the Hajj and Umrah deputy of the Hajj organization stated that more than 85% of the Hajj quota capacity of 1404 has been completed, and said that the final registration of pilgrims at the end of the second decade of December will be done in two stages in a provincial manner and priority will be given to fill the capacity. "After 15th of February, it will be announced in the form of day number."


Mr. Akbar Rezaei added that the housing committee is separating, allocating and grouping hotels in Medina and Mecca, and sending the forces of the food and logistics committee to Saudi Arabia to negotiate with suppliers of logistics items is on the agenda.


"With the adopted measures, the accommodation of couples in the upcoming Hajj has increased by a percentage compared to the previous Hajj, and the frequency will be distributed in such a way that more provinces will have this possibility compared to the previous Hajj," he added.


The Head of Iranian pilgrims requested the Deputy Director of Management and Resource Development and the General Director of Information Technology of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization to make the necessary preparations in the single window system of this organization in a way that would lead to the satisfaction of the applicants in the final registration and payment of the remaining amount.


The meeting continued with the report of the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization regarding the measures taken to announce the price groups and organize the Hajj 1404 caravan, and he asked the applicants who have pre-registered ticket to complete the final registration and be prepared to deposit the remaining Hajj fee.


Mr. Alireza Bayat also mentioned his trip to Saudi Arabia and the issues to be raised in the meeting with the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah in order to conclude the memorandum of understanding for Hajj 1404 at the end of next week, and said, "The purpose of all the services provided is to create a better environment for the improvement of pilgrims' education. And the spiritual benefit is in returning to the country."
