Hojjat al-Islam Navvab in a meeting with Hajj caravans’ clerics of Fars Province;
7 caravans go to Hajj this year due to the reduction in the number of agents and servants
Considering the quota allocated by Saudi Arabia, we are trying to reduce the number of agents and servants so that more pilgrims can visit the Land of Revelation, Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs said.
According to the Hajj Information base, Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and pilgrimage affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab said in the gathering of Hajj caravans’ clerics of Fars Province on Tuesday (Dey 18) that Saudi Arabia country gives a 3% quota to the Hajj expedition forces from Iran, meaning 3 people for 100 people.
We must use the quota allocated to our country for the necessary forces, for this reason we have tried to create conditions so that the largest number of pilgrims could be dispatched to the Land of Revelation, he added.
In this year's Hajj, 7 caravans of pilgrims went to Hajj due to the reduction in the number of agents and servants, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said.
Head of the Iranian pilgrims continued: assistant of the caravan’s director was among the cases that were eliminated. Also, pilgrims who were doctors were used to treat patients, and instead of assigning one cleric for every 60 pilgrims, we assigned one cleric for every 90 people, and instead the pilgrims left for the land of revelation.
Referring to the quality of Hajj journey, he said: despite these cases, the quality of the pilgrims' trip should not be reduced and the desired conditions and quality should be provided for our country's pilgrims.
Supreme Leader’s Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs who has traveled to Shiraz, answered the clerics' questions regarding the issue of dispatches and other matters at the end of this meeting.
