Supreme Leader's Representative for Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs Meets Members of Umrah Operations Headquarters in Medina

In a meeting with members of the Umrah Operations Headquarters in Medina, Hojjat al-Islam Wal-Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab said: "We must identify and compensate for the shortcomings."

According to Hajj Information Base, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab, the representative of the Supreme Leader for Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs, who is currently in Medina, stated: "We must benefit from past experiences and make up for the shortcomings because next year's Umrah will begin earlier than this year."

Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said: “In order for pilgrims not to encounter any problems, the presence of medical personnel is necessary during the journey, including at the Shajara Mosque, and measures must be taken for this matter.”

He pointed out that in order to improve the situation, "we must cooperate, express our opinions, join hands, and resolve the problems”"

Before the speech of the Supreme Leader’s Representative for Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs, members of various departments in the Hajj operations discussed the existing problems and experiences.

According to this report, currently 13 people are active in the Umrah operations headquarters in Medina. 15 hotels are available for Iranian pilgrims and 5,100 pilgrims are currently in Medina.

In this meeting, Mr. Doosti, responsible for the nutrition of the city of Medina while referring to the cooking of food for Iranian Umrah pilgrims in the Khmer kitchen in Medina said: "Currently, 11,000 plates of food are cooked per day. Food is cooked with various devices and satisfaction with the food is at a satisfactory level."

Also, among the issues that the staff members emphasized was paying attention to pilgrims on various issues before they leave, because the use of cyberspace in this land is completely monitored and sometimes leads to the deportation of pilgrims by Saudi security forces, as "we have had examples of so far, and one person is currently in prison for this reason by court order".

Mr. Mirzaei, the representative of the consulate in Medina, also added: "A pilgrim who is allowed to perform Hajj and Umrah and is deported for some reason cannot perform Umrah for three years and cannot perform Hajj Tamattu for nine years, and these matters should be reminded to the pilgrims."
