Jurisprudential Meeting of Representatives of Sources of Imitation Discussed Limits of Observing Special Regulations for Wearing Ihram Clothes to Enter Courtyard of Grand Mosque
The twenty-first jurisprudential meeting of the scholarly members of the sources of imitation was held in Qom on Thursday, in the presence of the representative of the Supreme Leader for Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs.
According to the Hajj Information Base, at the beginning of this meeting, Hojjat al-Islam Seyd Abdolfattah Navvab, the representative of the Supreme Leader for Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs, congratulated the holidays of the month of Rajab and the upcoming month of Shaban and stated: For the planned Hajj Tamattu 1404, Iranian and foreign aircraft will be used to transport the country's pilgrims.
Stating that preparatory work has been done to secure foreign exchange and we hope that this year will be completed earlier than last year, he added: Hotels have also been rented to accommodate Iranian pilgrims in Mecca and Medina, and procurement contracts are also being finalized.
Referring to the conditions of Hajj 1404 compared to 1403, the representative of the Supreme Leader for Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs said: God willing, the upcoming Hajj will be held at the same level. Of course, the restrictions imposed by the host country have increased and many prohibitions have been announced, which I hope they will reconsider.
Referring to Umrah, the representative of the Supreme Leader for Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs stated: Umrah is currently being performed and the month of Ramadan will also be held this year.
Referring to the operation of some Umrah flights through Taif Airport, he stated: During my recent Umrah trip, I left for Umrah through Taif Airport to observe the situation on the ground.
The representative of the Supreme Leader for Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs noted: Taif Airport is 95 kilometers from Mecca and about 20 kilometers from Qarn al-Manazil, one of the five miqats of Ihram where pilgrims enter the state of Muharram.
He added: Transferring pilgrims from Taif Airport will shorten the time and save time and money for pilgrims. We hope that we will be able to use Taif Airport for pilgrims to Medina in the next Hajj Tamattu.
Referring to the establishment of Umrah for students after a decade, the representative of the Supreme Leader for Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs stated: Umrah for academics has been established after 10 years and is currently being carried out.
He also pointed to the resolution of some issues and requests of Iranian pilgrims and said: Some shortcomings in the issue of nutrition, which was a request of pilgrims, have been resolved. The transportation of pilgrims from Medina to Mecca, which was previously by bus, has started in recent days with a high-speed train, which reduces the distance traveled by half and is satisfactory to Iranian pilgrims.
In this meeting, the issue of "the limits and limits of observing the clothing regulations for entering the Grand Mosque with Ihram clothes" was discussed and examined.
