Commemoration of Veterans' Day with the presence of Hajj and Pilgrimage officials
A commemoration ceremony of Veterans' Day was held in conjunction with the birthday of Qamar Munir Bani Hashem, with the presence of head of the Iranian pilgrims and chairman of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization.
According to the Hajj Information base, at this ceremony, which was held to commemorate Veterans' Day, while commemorating the Fajr decade and the Sha'baniyah Eids, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and head of the Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab described having a spirit of sacrifice and dedication as very important, and said: the virtues and characteristics of Hazrat Abbas (AS) are to such an extent that the infallible Imam has said about him: "My soul is yours, my brother".
Referring to a narration of Imam Sadiq (pbuh) :” Five characteristics, if a person does not have one of them, he will not enjoy much. The first is loyalty; the second is management; the third is modesty; the fourth is good character; and the fifth, which combines these characteristics, is freedom”; Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs said: Whoever has these five characters, he will have a lot of good and Hazrat Abbas (AS), the great veteran of Karbala, is a clear example of these qualities.
At the ceremony, head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Alireza Bayat, also considered the coincidence of Veterans' Day with the birth of Qmar Bani Hashem a source of honor and said: being Veteran is a sense of belonging to the caravan of high-ranking martyrs, and we must take care of this feeling and bright path.
This veteran has been achieved at the height of sincerity and utmost loyalty to the ideals of Islamic Revolution, which we hope the issue will continue until the end of life.
At the ceremony, head of Veterans' Affairs at the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization Hojjat al-Islam Mahdi Shahsavari also referred to the bright presence of veterans working in the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization and Supreme Leader’s mission and then a few veterans shared their memories.
