Hajj and pilgrimage officials trip to Atabat-e-Aliyat
Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization will travel to Iraq at the end of this week in order to review issues related to Atabat-e-Aliyat and plans for Ramadan and Nowruz expeditions.
According to the Hajj Information base, during this trip, in addition to visit services to Iranian pilgrims in the pilgrimage cities of Iraq, preparations for the Ramadan and Nowruz operations will be assessed in meetings and discussions with the officials of Supreme Leader representative offices and the Hajj organization in Karbala and Najaf, it was announced at the meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of the Supreme Leader's Mission and the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization which was held under the chairmanship of Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and head of the Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab.
Hajj organization deputy in Atabat affairs Mr. Morteza Aghaei, pointed out at the meeting that with the effort in the area of Atabat operations, evaluations indicate an improvement in affairs. He stated: registration is currently possible for pilgrims until Esfand 22, and registration for the second half of Ramadan and Nowruz will be available next week.
Referring to the measures and coordination taken to reduce the cost of dispatching pilgrims by air, head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization Mr. Alireza Bayat said: we are trying to further improve the Atabat operation in a systematic manner by modifying procedures, and screening the executive companies will also be carried out.
Following this meeting, in light of the continuation of Umrah program and listening to the words of Atabat officials in the previous weeks, a webinar meeting was established with the Umrah officials in the Land of Revelation.
Officials from Supreme Leader representative offices in Mecca and Mecca operations Headquarters and Hajj organization in Saudi Arabia reported on the latest measures and follow-ups taken to continue Umrah and Hajj operations for 1404, and also difficulties faced by Umrah caravans in accommodation, intercity transportation, flights, etc., and they proposed solutions.
Mr. Nasrollah Farahmand, CEO of the Umrah Saadat Institute, also noted that there are about 40 days left of the current Umrah operation and stated: it is expected that about 50,000 more people will visit the land of revelation during this period.
So far, 16,000 pilgrims have used train services between the two holy sites, and with some measures in the flight sector, we will be able to provide better services to pilgrims in this area during next year's Umrah, he added.
Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs called Umrah officials and deputies to prioritize providing more information to pilgrims and agents, and try to improve training at the agent level and, based on the experiences, resolve the problems of pilgrims.
Operational officials in Mecca categorized the problems into three categories: solvable, the realities of the host country, and problems that must be managed in operation process, and expressed hope that with the cooperation and efforts of all personnel, planning, and management of the operation, problems will be minimized and the pilgrims' satisfaction with this spiritual journey will be increased.
