Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs emphasis on identify, prioritize, schedule, and plan to solve pilgrims' problems

According to the Hajj Information base, following the visits of Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, along with head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization Alireza Bayat and the accompanying delegation to holy sites in Najaf Ashraf, as well as meetings and discussions with the custodians of these sites, as well as the delegation's visits to various places related to providing services to Iranian pilgrims, a meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader's Mission and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization was held in Najaf Ashraf this afternoon to make the necessary decisions and policies quickly and without wasting time to address the shortcomings and problems.

The meeting was chaired by Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, and was attended by Mr. Alireza Bayat, head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization, directors of the Supreme Leader Mission offices in Najaf and Karbala, the deputy for Development of Management and Resources of the Supreme Leader Mission, deputy for the Holy Shrines and director general of the inspection office of Hajj and Pilgrimage organization, and several members of the headquarters in Najaf.

At the beginning of this meeting, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs, coincidence with the funeral of the holy bodies of the martyrs of Islam, Sdyed Hassan Nasrollah and Seyed Hashem Safi al-Din, honored the memory of these great martyrs of the Islamic world and the Resistance Front, and described the presence of millions of people in the funeral of these martyrs in Beirut as a clear sign of the vitality and growth of the resistance spirit in Lebanon and the countries of region, and another proof of definitive defeat of Zionists and their Western masters.

Continuing the meeting, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs pointed out the need to address the shortcomings, problems, and concerns of the people in the Atabat issue, saying: "It is necessary to identify all problems and, while properly prioritizing them, plan to solve them."

Stating that the problems in the area of Atabat should be addressed by jihadi work, he said instead of just planning for the problems, planning should be done in the shortest possible time. He also continued: we hope that with the coordinated management of Mr. Bayat and his team, the problems related to Atabat will be reduced.

Hojjat al-Islam Seydd AbdulFattah Navvab went on to list some of the necessary policies to solve the problems, as well as some issues regarding the accommodation and transportation of pilgrims that need to be decided.

In the continuation of this meeting, Mr. Alireza Bayat, head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization, also presented a classification of the issue and the origin of some shortcomings and problems related to Atabat and said: in order to address the concerns of pilgrims, measures must be considered in the field of management; in addition, the necessary indicators must be considered for the operating companies as well as the contracting parties in Iraq in order to prevent damage and problems.

Some issues can be resolved with proper supervision; another set of problems requires the definition of an appropriate process, and the resolution of some other issues will depend on having the necessary infrastructure, he added.

Mr. Bayat considered important the role of Hajj and Pilgrimage organization's representative office in Iraq and said: Hajj and Pilgrimage organization's representative offices should be given more authority and responsibilities to address shortcomings so that Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs in Iraq have a more specific custodian and responsible person.

Head of the Supreme Leader's representative office in Najaf Hojjat al-Islam Kardan also presented at the meeting a report on some of the problems and measures to resolve them.

Mr. Hossein Nikravesh, director of the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization's representative office in Iraq, while presenting a report on the office's activities, said: "God willing, with the guidance of the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization, we will witness a reduction in problems related Atabat and the removal of existing concerns in order to increase the satisfaction of our country's pilgrims."

Director General of Inspection in Hajj and Pilgrimage organization Mr. Hadi Jalali, also said at the meeting: reforming the structure of the representative office, training and identifying capable staff, and a permanent manager by the organization are among the suggestions for improving the process, which I suggest should be implemented as soon as possible if deemed appropriate.

In another part of the meeting, deputy of Hajj and Pilgrimage organization in Atabat affairs, Mr. Morteza Aghaei, also explained about the process of addressing issues and said: existing problems can be reduced with documented planning and over a period of time.
