Last Flight of Umrah Operation Slated for Farvardin 19

In a meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of the Supreme Leader's Mission and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, it was announced that the last round-trip flights for the Umrah operation to the Land of Revelation and back from the Land of Revelation will be on Farvardin 19 and Farvardin 30, respectively.

According to the Hajj Information Base, in Sunday's meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of the Supreme Leader's Mission and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, which was presided by Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, the representative of the Supreme Leader for Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs, Nasrallah Farahmand, the CEO of the Umrah Saadat Institute, added that by Farvardin 19, 205,000 people will be sent to the Land of Revelation as part of the Umrah operation.


He announced the start of the Umrah operation 1404 from the 15th of Muharram and said: According to the schedule, registration of pilgrims will be in the month of Dhu al-Hijjah, and we hope that with efforts and follow-ups, the capacity for sending will increase to about 400,000 people.


The representative of the Supreme Leader for Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs, considering the history and experiences of Umrah expeditions in previous decades, asked those involved in Umrah operations to plan for sending pilgrims in the form of different packages with the necessary pathology and taking appropriate measures.



In this meeting, the Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah of the Hajj Organization also pointed out that the path to receive the application number for the visa issuance process for Hajj 1404 has been followed up and tested, and asked the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center to expedite the registration of medical examinations and clarify the status of pilgrims who have been referred to medical commissions.


Akbar Rezaei also explained the administrative process of registering in the two caravans for Iranians abroad, and the representative of the Supreme Leader for Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs emphasized that this new operation requires accuracy and facilitation, and its costs must also be controlled.


Alireza Bayat, head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, emphasized that this organization has no intention of generating income from this issue and stated that, in accordance with the government's policy on facilitating matters to attract Iranians abroad, this work will be carried out within the framework of the laws, and monitoring the cost and informing pilgrims is on the agenda, and necessary supervision will be implemented according to the recommendations of the head of Iranian pilgrims.



The meeting continued with a report by Morteza Aghaei, Deputy Director of the Holy Shrines of the Hajj Organization, regarding the provision of foreign exchange in the form of Iraqi dinars and its impact on the operations and travel costs of pilgrims to the shrines, and a report by Dr. Seyed Ali Marashi, Director of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center, regarding the services of this complex in the Umrah operation.


The Director of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center referred to the visits of 66,600 people in Medina and 126,600 people in Mecca by the end of Friday (Farvardin 15) and said: With the activity of three clinics in Medina and six clinics in Mecca, medical and health services have been provided to Umrah pilgrims.


He stated that the number of deaths in the current Umrah operation in Mecca and Medina is 27 and 7 people, and regarding the medical examinations of the upcoming Hajj pilgrims, he said: 419 people have been referred to medical commissions for further examination, and so far 43 people have been confirmed in the provincial commissions.


He added: A national commission will also be held next Thursday and Friday to address the protests.


According to this report, at the beginning of this meeting, the representative of the Supreme Leader for Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs pointed out the arrival of the eighth of Shawwal, the anniversary of the destruction of the tombs of the Imams of Baqi and some other religious sites in the land of revelation, and stated: Extremists have always been a problem in history, and we have witnessed examples of these destructions in addition to Saudi Arabia, in Iraq, Syria, and even the Babri Mosque in India by Hindus.



Referring to the peaceful coexistence of followers of different religions in Iran and the martyrs of the Armenians and the Jews during the Holy Defense, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab emphasized: Extremism is a sorrow for the Islamic world and makes the face of the Islamic world and Muslims look dusty and violent.
