Hojjat al-Islam Navvab at the Coordination Meeting of Hajj Service Providers:
Services to pilgrims must be at the level of pilgrims’ dignity
Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affair emphasized in a coordination meeting of Hajj service providers that the services to Baitullah al-Haram’s pilgrims must be at the level of the pilgrims' dignity and thanked the service providers for their services and patience.
According to the Hajj Information base, this meeting was held with the presence of Mr. Alireza Bayat, Head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization, and managers of civil and military organizations providing services in Hajj affairs. Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and head of the Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab said at the meeting that we respect the rules of institutions providing services to pilgrims and hope that the dignity of pilgrims will always be respected and minimal problems will be resolved.
Referring to the measures taken by the Hajj management complex, he stated: in the last Hajj, with the reduction of administrative personnel number and the jihadi work of the dispatched forces, the number of pilgrims increased, and seven more caravans were sent to the Land of Revelation compared to the Hajj 98.
Referring to the process of holding presidential elections in 1403 in the Land of Revelation and the concerns of those involved in holding these elections, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs said: Saudi officials were told that these pilgrims, as you call them, are divine guests, and the saying and the efforts of responsible groups finally led to the recent presidential elections being held in the land of revelation.
Referring to the granting of serving status to the pilgrims of House of God to the two great prophets of God, he expressed hope that the services of organizations will be acceptable to God and that the regulations announced by Saudi officials will be observed in accordance with the Islamic ethics.
During the meeting, head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization also mentioned the start of pilgrim flights from Ordibehesht 15, and referring to the participation of Saudi Arabia Nass airlines in Mashhad flights and some of Tehran flights, said: due to some restriction imposed by Saudi authorities on Zamzam water transfer by pilgrims, measures have been devised for the easy and seamless transportation of Zamzam water.
Mr. Bayat stated that the pilgrims' luggage is collected from the pilgrims according to protocols and returned to them at the destination airport.
Mr. Mohammad Ali Bek, director general of Persian Gulf at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also said at the meeting that Hajj is one of the most important factors influencing relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia. He also added : whenever relations between the two countries have been free of challenges, Hajj ritual has been held peacefully, and after the reestablishment of relations between the two countries, Hajj management has been done well over the last two or three years.
Referring to the strict control of social media by Saudi officials and the great energy that solving problems of active pilgrims on these networks takes from foreign affairs ministry and the Hajj organization officials, he called for pilgrims to be informed and respectful to prevent possible clashes.
Officials from law enforcement, aviation security, civil aviation, Homa airlines, and other relevant managers expressed their concerns at the meeting and outlined the necessary measures to hold the upcoming Hajj as orderly as possible.
