Head of the Iranian pilgrims in a speech at the Friday prayers in Qom:
Hajj is the practice of the Quranic lifestyle and Islamic unity

Head of the Iranian pilgrims said in a speech at the Friday prayers in Qom that Hajj is the practice of the Quranic lifestyle and Islamic unity.
According to the Hajj Information base, in a speech before the Friday prayer sermons in Qom, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and head of the Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab referred to the central slogan of this year's Hajj and said: this year's slogan is "Hajj; Quranic behavior, Islamic convergence, and support for oppressed Palestine. It is a slogan that highlights the cognitive, social, and political dimensions of this great obligation.
Quranic behavior means a lifestyle based on the teachings of revelation
Referring to the necessity of returning to the Quran as the text of individual and social life, he stated: Quranic conduct means acting on the verses of the Quran in ethics, behavior, economics, politics, family, and society. As it is said about the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH): “And indeed, you are of great creation,” and it is narrated from his beloved wife that she has said: “His creation was the Quran,” meaning that the Holy Prophet was the speaking Quran and the practical embodiment of the Quran.
The House of God Pilgrims must strive to bring himself closer to the Holy Quran in his conduct and behavior, from family to community, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs added.
Hajj is a divine invitation and choice
Citing the first sermon of Nahj al-Balagha, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said that Hajj is not just a duty, it is a special divine invitation and a great honor that must be appreciated and prepared for.
Referring to verses of Quran, he added: "Just as angels circumambulate around the Throne of God, pilgrims on the earth resemble those angels by circumambulating the Kaaba; wearing clothes of Ihram, without color, stitching, brand, or different materials."
Hajj is the practice of Islamic lifestyle
Emphasizing that Hajj is a practical training ground for the Islamic lifestyle, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs said: during the Hajj, Haji practices simplicity, order, mutual respect, proper use of opportunities, peaceful coexistence, a spirit of collectivism, reliance on God, and avoidance of selfishness. Millions of Muslims presence from different countries and races, communicating with each other with just a greeting, is a beautiful manifestation of Islamic unity.
Knowing the enemy during Hajj is a forgotten obligation for some Muslims
Stating that one of the fundamental messages of Hajj is to know the enemy, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab stated: in the rituals of Hajj, pilgrims collect stones from Mash'ar al-Haram, with specific intention and concentration, hit the symbol of Satan. This means that the enemy must be recognized, weapons must be prepared, and the enemy must be faced with awareness and courage.
Hajj, a platform for emulating the Prophet's (PBUH) morals and become familiar with the Quran
Referring to the cognitive meaning of praying behind the Maqaam-e-Ibrahim, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said: "This prayer is a demonstration of pilgrim's connection with the path and ideals of the Prophet, the first and foremost of the divine decrees." God told the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) to follow the religion of Ibrahim (PBUH). He was a patient servant, unlike some prophets who were impatient in the face of hardships.
Referring to verses about the Prophet's seeking forgiveness for sinners, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs also said: the pilgrim must strengthen the spirit of prayer, seeking forgiveness, supplication, and communication with God, and take advantage of this exceptional opportunity to purify the soul.
Unity is the fundamental need of the Islamic world in the crisis
Recalling Imam Khomeini's (RA) words about the necessity of Islamic unity, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs stated: "Today, the Islamic world needs cohesion, cooperation, and empathy more than ever. The enemy benefits from division, and an example of this is the humanitarian catastrophes in Gaza and the deadly silence of human rights defenders."
Supporting Palestine is a practical response to the demands of the oppressed
Referring to the final part of this year's Hajj slogan, the head of Iranian pilgrims said: "Supporting the oppressed people of Palestine is the religious, human, and divine duty of every Muslim."
Special features of Hajj 1404
Referring to some developments and features of this year's Hajj, he said: "Hajj 1404 is being held while a group of resistance leaders, including Martyred Raisi, and some resistance leaders are not among us, but their memory and path are alive."
Efforts to improve services and spirituality of pilgrims
In conclusion, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab noted: our efforts in the Hajj and pilgrimage complex, in collaboration with the agents, Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj organization, are to ensure that this year's Hajj is held with the least amount of difficulty and the greatest spiritual benefit for the pilgrims.
