Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs:
Preserving honor and dignity of pilgrims, most important goal of airport police

In a meeting with officials and police commanders of the country's airports, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs considered preserving the honor and dignity of Baitullah al-Haram pilgrims as the most important performance and goal of this complex.

According to the Hajj Information base,  at the meeting, which was held at the Airport Police Headquarters in Tehran's Mehrabad airport with the presence of Brigadier General Mohsen Aghili, Commander of the airport Police, airport police officials and commanders, as well as the virtual presence of the police commanders of 62 airports in the country, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and head of the Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab considered the actions of the airport police to be a multifaceted obligation that must be done with prudence, study and planning in an optimal manner.

Addressing the attendees, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs said: your work is very important, because you are combating toxic, narcotic, and life-threatening substances, and on the hand, because you are protecting the country's reputation through this work. If it is thought that some Iranian pilgrims are carrying drugs during Hajj, it is not worthy of the country and Iranian pilgrims, so it should be tried to prevent such an incident.

Head of the Iranian pilgrims continued: being arrested in the destination country on charges of carrying drugs will not only cause problems for the organization, but will also result in the individual being imprisoned.

Referring to hadiths from the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Imam Sadiq (AS), Hojjat al- Islam Navvab said:  the Holy Prophet and Ahl al- Bait are believed respect of a believer is even higher than the House of God, and preserving the honor of a believer is a shield against the fire of Hell.

For this reason, it should be tried to treat even with wrongdoers, with dignity and to justify these individuals with advice, compassion, and kindness, and to preserve the dignity of all.

Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and pilgrimage affairs concluded by saying that the necessary tips and advice will also be conveyed to pilgrims through clerics and caravan managers.

Brigadier General Aghili, Commander of the country's airport police, announced at the meeting the training and briefing of staff, presence of airport police officials among the pilgrims in the caravans to inform them, sending text messages to the pilgrims, and also holding meetings with the country's airport officials to better implement the inspection of pilgrims and organize the Hajj operations at the airport.
