Representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs: Muslim Unity Is Foundation for Prosperity of Islamic Ummah

The head of Iranian pilgrims called addressing the themes of the upcoming Hajj slogan a religious duty and stated that Muslim Unity is the Foundation for the Prosperity of the Islamic Ummah.
According to the Hajj Information Base, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, on Tuesday in the gathering of those involved in and cultural activists dispatched to Hajj 1404, congratulated the birth of Hazrat Masoumeh (SA) and the beginning of the Decade of Dignity and Hajj Week, and pointed out the themes of this year's Hajj slogan "Hajj; Quranic Conduct, Islamic Convergence, and Support for Oppressed Palestine" and stated, Addressing these themes is a religious and divine duty and must be pursued and carried out.
The Representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs, pointing out that all verses of the Quran are manifested in the life of the Prophet, stated: the Islamic Convergence is the same eternal slogan of the system that has been expressed with different interpretations such as unity and solidarity in different years.
"Support for Palestine also has a specific place in this convergence," he added.
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab pointed out that in this regard, many narrations from the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH) have been narrated in Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, and also from the Ahl al-Bayt (AS). Some poets also state in their poems: "All Muslims should be like a single body." This unity should be such that if one member of the body of the Islamic world suffers, the other members will not rest.
Emphasizing that today the Islamic world should not remain silent in the face of Zionist oppression, he added, "In Malaysia and Indonesia, and even in some countries, Buddhists and Hindus, or in European countries, people came to the defense of Gaza, but in some Islamic countries they did not allow the Palestinian flag to be raised."
He stated that the Supreme Leader said that the policy "we have in defending Palestine is a positive policy, but the policy of some countries is a negative and unconstructive policy", adding, "According to some narrations, those who defend oppressed Palestine in the most distant countries and are persecuted are among the best of people."
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab stated that Imam Sadeq (AS) said: “The connection of believers with God is like the connection of the rays of the sun with the sun, and these rays never separate from the sun,” and said: In a narration, it is narrated that Prophet Moses (PBUH) asked God: “Why do you test your servants with hardships?” The answer was: “This test reveals my most beloved servants.”
The representative of the Supreme Leader for Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs stated that since the beginning of the revolution, Islamic convergence has been mentioned in the speeches of Imam Khomeini (RA) and the Supreme Leader, and it has also been a religious order, and stated: "The Imam of the Ummah (RA) believed: "The cause of division in the Islamic world is external. If countries were independent, their nature would dictate defending the oppressed"."
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said: "The Imam (may Allah have mercy on him) explained the theoretical foundations of Muslim unity; these foundations are based on the principle that “Muslims must come to their senses in order to be able to walk on the path of unity".
Stating that the late Imam considered unity to be an example of divine mercy, he clarified: "Obviously, a person must forget himself in order to achieve unity. Whoever wants to pursue only his own interests has in fact sacrificed religion for his own desires."
Referring to verse 46 of Surah Saba: “Say: I advise you to one thing, and that is to rise up for the sake of Allah,” the representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs continued: Many of the problems of the Islamic world today are rooted in self-centeredness, while everything should be for Allah, not for personal desires. When there is no mention of “unity,” how can peace and empathy be achieved?
He added: "Unfortunately, the colonialists are deceivingly plundering the resources of Muslims and preventing unity by creating division among the Islamic Ummah, and this plan is underway today."
Pointing out that the Supreme Leader has repeatedly reminded of the need to be vigilant against the plots of arrogance in his statements about Hajj, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab stated: "The concern of the ruling system about Islamic awakening is quite evident, because the unity of Muslims is the basis for the prosperity of the Islamic Ummah and the main axis of their political identity. Unfortunately, today, some currents, instead of relying on the centrality of the foundation of Islam, are fueling religious differences."
