Supreme Leader's Mission holds anniversary of the martyrs of duty in Mecca

This afternoon, coinciding with the first anniversary of the Seyed Ebrahim Raisi martyrdom and his companions, a ceremony was held by the Supreme Leader's delegation at the Al-Balad Al-Tayyiba Hotel in Mecca.

 According to the Hajj Information base, at the ceremony, Hojjat al-Islam Hajj Abul Qasim, advisor to the martyred president on clerical affairs, called Mecca a city of endeavors remembrance and said: everywhere in Mecca, there is a reminder of the Prophet Abraham endeavors (PBUH). We learn from the Quran that we should remember the endeavors, and martyr Raisi was one of the Mujahids of our time.


Describing the characteristics of Martyr Raisi, he said:  he was fasting during the debates and was a night prayer, and before dawn, many would see him praying above the tomb of Imam Reza (AS).



Referring to another characteristic of Martyr Raisi, Mr. Hajj Abol ghasim said: he loved people and service to the disadvantaged people, adding: his sweetest moments were when he was present among the people and the disadvantaged. He insisted on going to places where other officials would not go to so that he could solve the problems of the people.


The ceremony was held in the presence of Mr. Akbar Rezaei, head of the Mecca Hajj and Pilgrimage Headquarters.
