Kumail Dua’, the prayers of Mecca pilgrims on the night of Dahw al-Ard
Simultaneously with the virtuous night of Dahw al-Ard, Iranian pilgrims in various hotels in Mecca hummed the Kumail prayer in harmony with Amir Al-Mu’manin.
According to the Hajj Information base, at this ceremony, after the speech of Hojjat al-lslam Hajj Abul Qasem, Haj Hamid Ramazanpour recited the Kumail prayer.
Before reciting the prayer, the speaker of the session considered Kumail prayeras the best memorial of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), who was born in the Kaaba, and said: Dua’ is the core of worship.
He listed five afflictions of sin for man which have been mentioned in the Kumail prayer and stated: the first effect of sin is that it destroys the purity of the soul and the life of man. When the soul becomes impure, it no longer enjoys Dua’.
Hajj Abul Qasim called the second effect of sin as divine punishment and added: sins cause punishment to descend, and some sins, such as not helping the oppressed, ignoring the deprived, and abandoning good deeds, cause punishment to descend in this world.
He considered the loss of blessings and non-fulfillment of a person's Dua’ as two other negative effects of sin, and said: sometimes someone has a request, but because of this sin, the answer to his Dua’ is delayed. Some sins such as hypocrisy with fellow believers, swearing, and missing obligatory prayers cause the prayer to be suspended.
Hajj Abul Qasim mentioned the descent of calamity as the fifth effect of sin and explained: the worst calamity for a sinful person is separation from God and distance from his friends.
Hojj al-lslam Seyed Hasan pour Mousavi also made statements regarding the virtues of Kumail Dua’ on the night of Dahw al-Ard and its rituals, as well as the importance of the place and the virtues of being in the land of revelation.
