Memories of the Head of Iranian Pilgrims: Grand Ayatollah Safi Golpayegani Wished to Be Servant of Pilgrims
Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, the representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and pilgrimage affairs and the head of Iranian pilgrims, at the Hajj Guides Conference held in Mecca, emphasized the importance of serving and helping pilgrims to the Sacred House of Allah, and considered it the way of the great and infallible Imams (AS).
Emphasizing that pilgrims’ helpers should appreciate the great blessings and care that Allah Almighty has bestowed upon them, he mentioned some memories from the great ones about the importance of serving pilgrims to the Sacred House of Allah, and as an example, he said: "Every time we returned from a Hajj or Umrah trip, we would visit Grand Ayatollah Safi Golpaygani, a respected authority, and report on the services of the Hajj servants."
He would always say with a humble attitude and tearful eyes, "I wish I were with these servants too".
The head of Iranian pilgrims called the servants of the pilgrims a partner in their reward and, emphasizing the need for continuous improvement in service, noted: Service matters during the Hajj should be better every year than the previous year; therefore, the art is to always identify existing damages and needs and take action to resolve them.
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also called on the guides of the pilgrims to use the best available technologies in locating and guiding the pilgrims, such as maps and online locators, etc., so that the fastest, best, and most relief services can be provided to the pilgrims.
