Hajj Caravan's Clerics Appreciate Firm Stance of Head of Iranian Pilgrims in Helping Release of A Detained Cleric
According to the Hajj Information Base, cultural colleagues from the mission in various departments of the Cultural Office of the Supreme Leader's Mission, who are responsible for educating and justifying the knowledge and rituals of pilgrims to the Land of Revelation and for conducting Quranic and cultural ceremonies, met with Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, the representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and pilgrimage affairs and the head of Iranian pilgrims.
In this meeting, some of the attendees expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the position taken by the head of Iranian pilgrims in the case of the arrest of an Iranian cleric, which played an important role in the peaceful and immediate resolution of this issue, describing it as "timely" and "accurate".
Also, a group of members of the Sunni Fatwa Council present at the meeting appreciated the "justice" of the Islamic Republic and the special attention of the Mission of the Supreme Leader to the Sunni pilgrims of our country, describing it as a clear sign of the sincerity and serious attention of the Islamic Republic and the Supreme Leader to unity and brotherhood among Islamic sects.
These members of the Sunni Fatwa Council, some of whom are members of the Assembly of Experts, a group of prominent professors of Sunni seminaries, and some of whom are Sunni scholars in Iran, pointed out that the Islamic Republic of Iran has even provided some of the best and closest hotels to the Holy Shrine in Mecca to Sunnis; therefore, not only we do not witness any discrimination among pilgrims, but these issues can also be considered as Iran's special attention to Sunni brothers.
According to the members of the Sunni Fatwa Council, the presence of caravans, some of which are Shia and some are Sunni, and their brotherly behavior towards each other is a model for the unity of the Islamic world and a rebuke to all foreigners who seek to harm the essence of Islam by sowing discord between religions.
Hojjat al-Islam Rukn al-Dini, the cultural deputy of the Supreme Leader's delegation, also presented a report on some of the measures taken at the beginning of this meeting, referring to the comprehensive, diverse, and sometimes innovative cultural programs that have existed this year.
Hojjat al-Islam Akhavian, the educational director of the Cultural Office of the Supreme Leader’s Mission, also presented a report on educational programs for Shiite and Sunni pilgrims in this meeting. The number of educational sessions for all pilgrims and agents, special sessions for women, a special session for Hajj assistants, Quranic competitions, Surah Hamad interpretation competitions, places in Medina and Mecca, Abraham (PBUH) in the Quran, and Hajj in Nahjul-Balagha were among the programs mentioned by Hojjat al-Islam Akhavian.
He also mentioned the use of new communication technology by this office to answer questions and provide training, and provided statistics on the growing trend of users and services offered in these software.
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also praised the topics raised by the attendees in this meeting and answered the questions raised, emphasizing in his speech that it is necessary for cultural servants to act in a way during the Hajj season - and this has already been the case - that is a model for everyone, even for other countries.
He described the behavior, organization, and services provided by Hajj officials in Iran during the past decades after the revolution as "unique" and "exemplary" among all other countries, and said that the type of interaction between Sunnis and Shiites in joint caravans or other caravans is also a practical model of unity for the entire Islamic world.
The head of Iranian pilgrims, while thanking the special and appropriate programs organized by the Sunni brothers in Mecca, said: God willing, Shiites and Sunnis should join hands and reduce the suffering of the oppressed people of Palestine with their support and prayers.
