Hojjat al-Islam Navvab: teenagers’ presence in Hajj, valuable act and an investment for their good future
An intimate meeting of teenagers and young people attending Hajj 1404 was held in the presence of Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and head of the Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab at the Balad al-Tayib Hotel in Mecca.
According to the Hajj Information base, at the beginning of this meeting, Hojjat al-lslam Rukn Al-Dini, cultural deputy of Supreme Leader's delegation, stated that this is the third year that such a meeting has been held, adding: this year, Saudi Arabia does not issue visas to people under the age of 12, and accordingly, more than 100 people among the Iranian pilgrims between the ages of 12 and 22 have been invited to today's meeting.
Stating that attending Hajj at this age is a special blessing from God Almighty, for which the dear young people should be grateful, he added: the main purpose of the meeting is to appreciate parents who spend money for their children in this regard.
Cultural deputy of Supreme Leader Delegation added: of course, this is not a cost, but rather an investment, and you will definitely all see the results of your work in the future.
In the continuation of the meeting, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab expressed his happiness at being among the young pilgrims and youth who have achieved the success of this spiritual journey at such an age, and thanked their parents, saying to them: this investment in your relics and loved ones is a very valuable act and an investment for them. Some spend money and get no results, but you spent money for the good future of your children and you will definitely see its effects.
Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs added: the Prophet says, "God boasts to the angels about the young people who worship in the presence of God." You are an example of this boasting that God Almighty says to the angels: he has left the world and has come to circumambulate my house and worship in it. A young man has left the desires and pleasures of the world and has come to this land for my sake.
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab continued: what can a young man do in this country and in this city except worship God? He can only follow in the footsteps of Prophet Ibrahim and Ishmail (PBUH).
Referring to the words of some young people present at the meeting about the first moment of seeing the Kaaba, he stated: your tears beside the Kaaba and your repentance in Masjid al-Haram are examples of a scene that God boasts to His angels.
It is stated in a hadith from the infallible Imam that nothing is greater, dearer, or more valuable to God than the repentance of a young person, because when a young person repents, it has a different meaning: he has hope for the future and repents in this state, but if an old person repents, he is observing the dangers of the future and is seeing the effects of death, when he repents.
Referring to the importance of the Land of Revelation, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs said that he has witnessed the lives of young people here whom God has given them medals, and what achievement is greater than it that God Almighty to give a medal to someone?
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab named Hazrat Ismail (AS) as one of these medal-winning youths and added: he stood up against Satan; when Satan said, have mercy on your youth, they want to sacrifice you, Ismail replied, "This is God's command."
Head of the Iranian pilgrims said: the second medal-winning figure is the Prophet of Islam (PBUH), who, while they were young, worked in a group in Mecca that was the "Hilf al-Fuzul" service center for the people, similar to what some Iranian youth do in the form of jihadi camps to serve the deprived in different parts of the country.
Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs described Imam Ali (AS) as another young medal winner who was born on this land and at the age of 26, God gave him the greatest medal.
Imam Hasan and Imam Hosein (peace be upon them) were other young people whom Hojjat al-Islam Navvab mentioned as medal-winning youth and role models for the youth and teenagers present at the meeting.
Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs continued the meeting by expressing some of the characteristics of youth from the perspective of Supreme Leader of the Revolution, as well as his expectations of youth. After reciting some of Ayatollah Khamenei's statements, he siad: being right-minded, not easily offended, not act against each other, being friends and comrades, and keeping distance from the enemy are among the things that the Supreme Leader emphasizes.
