Good news and advice from the head of Iranian pilgrims to Zabehan:
Eyes of Many Are in Your Hands
According to the Hajj Information Center, on the eve of the beginning of the Abrahamic Hajj rituals, the "Hajj 1404 Zabehan (Slaughterers) Conference" was held in the presence of Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, the representative of the Supreme Leader for Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs and the head of Iranian pilgrims, and Dr. Alireza Bayat, the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, at the Violet Hotel in Mecca.
In his speech to Zabehan, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said: "Your work is the same as that of Prophet Abraham (PBUH). He had great faith that he prepared his son to be sacrificed, and his son, Prophet Ismail, and his wife also obediently accompanied Prophet Abraham to carry out the divine command."
Addressing the Zabehan, the head of the Iranian pilgrims added, "One of the most difficult tasks of Hajj is yours because many eyes are on you to inform them that your slaughter has been completed."
Stating that if someone does not love this service, he will not undergo the burden of slaughtering at all, he said: "You have to work hard for several hours while bowing, and this is really difficult. Of course, God is just and rewards his servants based on the difficulty of their work."
The representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs emphasized: "The prophets were like this too. If someone wants a high level of reward, he reaches that level through hardship and enduring difficulties." The Prophet Muhammad said: “The most beloved of deeds to Allah is the one who is steadfast and persistent in his work.”
The head of Iranian pilgrims also gave advice to slaughterers, and in stating the first piece of advice, he stated: Every road has a bandit, and the bandit of your job is to later boast about how many sheep I slaughtered in one day. In this case, the reward of your work will fall like the leaves of a tree, whereas if you sacrificed more, you should perform more prostrations of gratitude.
He stated: "Do not be hypocritical because your work is merciful and for God. Many of your colleagues would have liked to be in your place, but God wanted and chose you, and you should be grateful."
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab advised the slaughterers not to get tired in their work and to turn to God as soon as they feel tired and to remember that many people are waiting for their news about the slaughter of their sacrifice.
The representative of the Supreme Leader for Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs added: "Try to be constantly ablution so that the effects of this work will remain with you and sacrifice each sheep for the intention of a martyr, a deceased comrade or a friend who wanted to be here. A believer is smart and uses every opportunity. You too can be sure that you will receive more reward than those people and it will be saved for your hereafter."
