Head of the Iranian Pilgrims:
Well done to the children of Iranian nation who surpassed each other in martyrdom
In a meting with the Martyrs' Families, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and head of the Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, said after Haj Ali Malikinejad's elegy and the recitation of poems about the martyrs: "Well done to the children of the Iranian nation who surpassed each other in martyrdom and shed tears for it."
According to the Hajj Information base, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab added that martyrs are alive, they are with God, and they are fed by God. Whoever has one of these three virtues is proud of himself, but martyrs have these three characteristics together, and with the first drop of their blood that falls on the ground, God completely forgives them.
Stating that "paradise would be given for a price, not an excuse," Head of the Iranian pilgrims said: the Imam of this land is Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him), whom God Almighty says in His revelation, "Peace be upon Ibrahim", he made many sacrifices; he emerged proud from the test of his son's sacrifice, he gave his wealth in the way of God, and he was tested by giving his life, and when he emerged victorious from all the tests, he reached the position of Imamate. Now, after 6,000 years, everyone who prays the Tawaf prayer, must pray behind the Maqam of Ibrahim and follow in the footsteps of Ibrahim (peace be upon him).
Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and pilgrimage affairs considered martyrdom the wish of the best servants of God and added: "Until we sacrifice ourselves in the way of God, we will not find value, and if the martyrs became role models, it is because of their investment in the way of God. When we examine the lives of many martyrs, we see that they have had pure lives."
Referring to a hadith from the Holy Prophet (PBUH), he said: "If God wants to honor someone, He tests him with adversity. Imam Sadiq (AS) also considers adversity to be the adornment of a believer, because if a person is tested, he grows, otherwise he becomes a swamp.
Referring to a memory of one of the martyrs, head of the Iranian pilgrims added: during the sacred defense, I went to a village to bury a martyr. This great martyr was a soldier. I asked them to bring his testament. It was written in the testament, 'O God, I wish to devote the spring of my life (my youth) to your path and not be buried in the absurd conflicts of nature. The flower of life is the youth. The absurd conflicts of nature are what we are looking for.
He advised the families of the martyrs to remember the martyrs in the land of revelation and invite them to Tawaf, pray, and recite the Quran in Masjid al-Haram during this journey.
