Offices of Great Religious Authorities Hold Jurisprudential Meeting on Hajj's New Issues in Mecca

A jurisprudential meeting of representatives of the offices of the great religious authorities was held with the presence of Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, the representative of the Supreme Leader for Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs and the head of Iranian pilgrims, at the location of the Supreme Leader’s mission in Mecca.
According to the Hajj Information Base, in this meeting, which was held in continuation of the regular meetings of the mission of the great religious authorities on the subject of Hajj rulings and issues, the representatives of the houses of the religious authorities first expressed their gratitude to the head of Iranian pilgrims and the managers of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization for holding the Hajj and Pilgrimage operations successfully, with minimal fuss and in a systematic manner, and for performing the Hajj rituals by Iranian pilgrims with minimal worry and anxiety.
The scholars and dignitaries present at the meeting also pointed out the need for further discussion and examination of these issues in the visit to Qom and the mission based in Mecca and the holy sites, and raised some questions and inquiries.
In the continuation of the meeting, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab raised the topic of “the limits of the Holy Shrine and the city of Mecca” and pointed out some of the emerging issues surrounding this issue and asked the jurisprudential representatives of the offices of the religious authorities to explain the views of the religious authorities.
After the presentation of the discussion by about ten members of the meeting, the head of the Iranian pilgrims, in summing up the topics raised, emphasized the need to continue the discussion on the pilgrimage to the land of revelation and to seek the opinion and opinion of the respected religious authorities on this important issue.
