On the evening of July 24, after visiting Jeddah Airport, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab went to the Iranian Consulate in Jeddah to meet with the Consul General of Iran and his colleagues.
The Supreme Leader's Representative for Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs appreciated the efforts of the members of the Iranian Consulate in Jeddah, and said: The members of the Iranian Consulate and Embassy in Saudi Arabia who have participated in matters related to the Hajj of Iranian pilgrims are, in a way, servants of the pilgrims.
In this meeting, which was attended by members of the Consulate and their families, he said, considering the arrival of the month of Muharram: In the words of Imam Hussein (AS), it is stated about the true Shiite of that Imam: He is the one whose heart is free from deceit and deceit.
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab continued by stating narrations from the Infallibles (peace be upon them) and various Shiite indicators, saying: The first sign of a Shiite is that he puts others before himself. This is the same sacrifice and empathy that we have seen examples of repeatedly in various situations such as the coronavirus and the recent extraordinary circumstances for our country.
He mentioned strength and power in religion, commitment to fulfilling promises and trust, asceticism and piety as other signs expressed in the narrations of the Infallibles, and said: We have seen many examples of these qualities in the companions of the Prophet and the Imams, which can be considered as examples of the narration.
The representative of the Supreme Leader for Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs added: Another characteristic of true Shiites is paying attention to and paying zakat on property and performing the rituals of Hajj. Also, chastity in eating is among the things that true Shiites must act on based on the teachings of religion.
The head of Iranian pilgrims described the House of God of the companions of Imam Hussein (AS) in the desert of Karbala as a clear example of the above characteristics, and said: Sacrifice and selflessness, asceticism and staying awake at night, attention to prayer, and the desire to reach God Almighty are among the most important examples recorded in history for the companions of Imam Hussein (AS).
At the end, he commemorated all the martyrs of the resistance, as well as the martyrs and commanders of the recent aggressions of the Zionist regime.
