Supervisor of Iranian Pilgrims emphasized;
The need to rebuild Baqi’ and roots finding on destruction of Baqi’ cemetery

As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base; at the international gathering "Baqi’, the shrine of the Ahl al-Bayt and the companions of the Holy Prophet" which was held on Wednesday evening (Ordibehesht 29) in Qom, Seyyed Abdolfattah Navvab called the destruction of Baqi’ cemetery one of the sorrows of the Islamic Ummah and called for roots finding in this area. He said that the destruction of Baqi’ cemetery was carried out by the conspiracy of the British and the Jews, adding that the Jews have always been a problem for Islam and have tried to suffocate Islam. Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs referring to the special attention of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) to Baqi’ Cemetery, added: Baqi’, which included a group of sincere companions of the Prophet (PBUH), was of special interest to him. Hojjat al-Islam Navvab, referring to the goals of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in attending Baqi’ Cemetery, said that the most important part of the goal is to create culture and teach the culture of pilgrimage. The real class of death remembrance has been one of the plans of Prophet (PBUH) to attend Baqi’. By stating that Baqi’ was also considered after the Holy Prophet (PBUH) during the caliphate, adding: "throughout history, changes have been made on Baqi’ and some parts have been added to it, and these increases have continued." Baqi’ is the center and burial place of Holy bodies such as Infallibles (AS), the mothers and children of those Imams, the wives and daughters of the Prophet (PBUH) and also the companions and followers; Supervisor of Iranian Pilgrims emphasized. Hojjat al-Islam Navvab further called on the researchers to review the incident of Baqi’ cemetery destruction and said: " whatever to write and enlightenment about the characters who have been buried in Baqi’ is not enough." He also referring to the sinister move of the Wahhabis in destroying Baqi’ and the resistance of many Muslims against them; said "if the truths of al-Baqi’ are told to the people, the dust they have raised on the issue of Baqi’ will be removed." Praising  the book “ Strange of Baqi’”, which was written by Hojjat al-Islam Qazi Askar and present some of the documents of opposition and protest of Islamic Ummah in Baqi’ destruction; Supervisor of Iranian pilgrims emphasized on the need for such research by academic and seminary elites Referring to the role of Britain by Wahhabism in the destruction of Baqi’ graves and asking the question of where did the roots of Baqi’ destruction come from? Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said: "Jews are trying to divide the Islamic world, and in the last century, by creating the cancerous tumor of Zionism in the region and destroying Islamic places, they seek to divide and weaken Muslims, and wherever this group is present, they destroy purity." Supreme Leader’s representative added: "they want to witness the breaking of authority and the glory of the Islamic world by creating divisions and conflicts among Muslims." It is worth mentioning that the first international gathering entitled "Baqi’, the shrine of the Ahl al-Bayt and the companions of the Prophet" coincided with the eighth of Shawwal, the anniversary of the Baqi’ destruction by Wahhabis, with the presence of elites and universities of the Islamic world from different religions. The gathering was held on Wednesday (Ordibehesht 19) at the office of the Supreme Leader's delegation in Qom.
