Meeting of the Senegalese Ambassador to Iran with the Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs

The Ambassador of Senegal to Iran met and discussed with Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and Supervisor of Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab.

As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base, The Senegalese Ambassador to Iran Saliv niang Ding met and discussed with Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and Supervisor of Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab at the Supreme Leader Delegation Office Headquarters. At this meeting, the two sides, referring to the relationship between the Hajj missions of two countries in recent years, stated: Iran and Senegal have many areas of cooperation that can be developed. Hojjat al-Islam Navvab pointed to the readiness of Hajj and Pilgrimage of the Islamic Republic of Iran to present their experiences in managing and planning Hajj and using the successful experiences of Senegal during the Hajj season and the Senegalese ambassador said: transfer of views will provide an opportunity to further deepen relations between the two countries. During the meeting, which was also attended by Supreme Leader Delegation Office's deputy on international affairs Hojjat al-Islam Ali Khayyat and Senegales chargé d'affaires in Tehran Mr. Mohammad Mustafa, two sides noted the great cultural and religious commonalities and also two countries' close views on international positions. Hojjat al-Islam Navvab mentioned the belief in the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH)  Ahl al-Bayt as the two countries' characteristics and expressed hope that with the measures of host country, we will see a favorable Hajj with the presence of all countries on the future Hajj. Due to the Corona restrictions, there is a readiness to hold a virtual meeting with Professor Kaba, the High Commissioner for Hajj and the head of the Senegalese pilgrims, as well as other Hajj officials in the country, he added. Saying that the two countries are dynamic defenders of Islam in the world, the Senegalese ambassador pointed to his responsibility in the Senegal consulate in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in the past and said: I have witnessed closely the good organization of Iranian pilgrims, and the Senegalese officials I spoke to, were very enthusiastic about organizing and managing the Iranian Hajj. The experiences of Iran and Senegal can help the better organize of Hajj ritual, and with good organizing; this voice will be sent to the world stronger, he added.
