Over 5700 Iranian Hajj Pilgrims Return Home

Head of Mecca Operation Headquarters announced the return of 5,761 Iranian Hajj pilgrims to the Islamic homeland in the form of 38 caravans with 24 flights through Medina and Jeddah airports.

According to the Hajj Information Base, at the meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of the Supreme Leader's Office and Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, which was held on Tuesday evening (Tir 13) under the chairmanship of the representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs, Mr. Gholamreza Rezaei added that so far 6,158 Medina pilgrims have left Mecca in the form of 44 caravans, and the number of pilgrims present in Mecca reached 74,981 on Tuesday night. In line with the recommendation of the Supreme Leader regarding reducing the duration of the Hajj journey, various efforts have been made, and currently, 7,600 pilgrims will go to Iran with 33 special flights that will be carried out from the 14th to the 17th of Dhul-Hijjah through Medina Airport and by taking this measure, the length of the Hajj journey will be reduced by three days. He further presented a detailed report on the process of Hajj operations during the days of Tashriq and the problems and deficiencies in the holy ceremonies and said that in order to speed up the affairs and evaluate the activities, all groups are required to submit their pathology report by tomorrow. This meeting continued with the report of the crisis headquarters of Hajj operations on the results of a survey of pilgrims in the field of executive services, and the head of Iranian pilgrims gave warnings in some cases and demanded appropriate solutions to increase the satisfaction of pilgrims, especially in the nutrition sector. In the continuation of this meeting, Hossein Esmaili, the director of inspection of the Supreme Leader's Reprsentative Office, presented a report on the investigations carried out on the hotels where the pilgrims are staying, the transfer of a part of the Iranian pilgrims by train from Mecca to Medina, and the need to pay more attention to the quality of the food, and Morteza Nasrallahi, the official with the intra-city transport unit of Mecca also reported on how to provide services to pilgrims after the days of Tashriq. At the end of this meeting, the Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs requested to reflect the problems of the return route of Iranian pilgrims from Ramay Jamarat and defects in some tents of Mena to the relevant authorities of Saudi Arabia so that they can be resolved for the upcoming Hajj. The head of the Iranian Hajj pilgrims also emphasized the need to inform the pilgrims quickly and appropriately about the services provided in different departments and asked the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization and the director of the representative office of this organization in Saudi Arabia to discuss the issue of the demands from the Iranian Hajj company and follow up seriously and reach the result by next week. "This is the pilgrim's right and it should be fulfilled and returned to its owner," he added.
