Supreme Leader's Representative Office, Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization to Form Working Group to Examine Various Aspects of Umrah Pilgrimage

During the planning and coordination meeting of the Supreme Leader's Representative Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab asked the head of the organization to from a working group consisting of the deputies and managers of the Supreme Leader's Representative Office and Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization to review and report on various aspects of establishing the Umrah journey.

According to the Hajj Information Base, during the meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of the Supreme Leader's Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, which was held under the chairmanship of Hajjat al-Islam Navvab, the head of the Iranian Hajj pilgrims while referring to the interest of the Iranians in the Umrah pilgrimage, requested to simultaneously pursue this issue through the National Security Council and announce the opinion of this council. "In the last meeting of the Supreme Hajj Council, the honorable president mentioned the cooperation of the government to start the Umrah journey," he added. It should be mentioned that more than 5.8 million people have registered for the Umrah trip in previous years and are about to be sent to the land of revelation. In the continuation of this meeting, Mr. Seyyed Abbas Hosseini, the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, announced the drafting of housing policies in the housing committee and planning in the field of nutrition and logistics to change the food program and increase the quality of food in the upcoming Hajj, and said that if this policy is approved negotiations will be held to sign contracts and take necessary measures before leaving Saudi Arabia. The meeting continued with a report of Mr. Gholamreza Rezaei, the head of the Hajj operation headquarters, about the evaluation of the hotels used in this year's Hajj, planning to advance the future Hajj affairs in accordance with the instructions announced by the host country, and he pointed out that following the advice of the head of the Iranian pilgrims in the meetings of the headquarters and regions of Mecca, it was emphasized that the provision of services should continue without any shortcoming until the last pilgrim arrives in Mecca and Medina. "The number of pilgrims in Mecca and Medina will reach 41325 and 9740 people, respectively tonight," he added. Head of the Hajj operations headquarters pointed out that so far 11,163 pilgrims in the form of 76 convoys by train and 8,100 people in the form of 60 convoys by bus have left Mecca for Medina, adding that 17,681 pilgrims in the form of 117 convoys with 79 flights from the city of the Prophet and 17,184 People returned to Islamic homeland from Jeddah in the form of 111 caravans with 70 flights and this process continues. Dr. Taher Daroudi, deputy of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center, also reported on the plan to transfer sick patients to the country in coordination with the airline and said that 8 patients who need more medical services will be sent to Iran. He added that currently, 25 patients are being treated in Saudi hospitals in Mecca and Jeddah, and 33 pilgrims are being treated in the Mecca Medical Board Hospital. In the continuation of this meeting, Nasser Hawizawy, the director of the representative office of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization in Saudi Arabia, reported on the follow-up carried out through the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia regarding the demands from the Iran Hajj Company, and the representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs emphasized that before leaving Saudi Arabia, the accounts with this company and other Saudi parties should be finalized and the report submitted. The meeting ended with the report of Mr. Mohsen Razzaghi, the representative of Iran Air, about the latest status of Hajj flights and Davoud Bagheri, the secretary of the crisis management headquarters, about the actions of this committee during this year's Hajj and the evaluation of the activities of various executive departments. The representative of Iran Air Company while referring to the amount of cargo permitted to be carried by pilgrims said that currently, there are between 8 and 9 flights per day from each of Medina and Jeddah airports, which will reach 20 flights in the next three days.
