Representative of Supreme Leader for Hajj and Pilgrimage: Science Without Spirituality and Humanity Normalizes the Great Crime of Gaza

The representative of the Supreme Leader for Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs, in a meeting with the president and a group of vice presidents and directors of the International Department of Shahed University, as well as a group of international students of this university, emphasized the extraordinary importance of acquiring knowledge and expanding knowledge, and explained some points that a person should consider in the path of acquiring knowledge.

According to Hajj Information Base, during the meeting that was attended by the head of the Supreme Leader's representative institution at Shahed University, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab while referring to a statement by Imam Ali (AS) in Nahj al-Balagha that says: "Knowledge is the Sultan - knowledge is power and creates power," said, "Wherever knowledge and science are present, growth, development, and progress will also be brought." The representative of the Supreme Leader in matters of Hajj and pilgrimage listed "spirituality," "realism and avoiding excesses," "reliance on reasoning and logic and having a listening ear," and "avoiding inappropriate debate" as the requirements for correct and correct knowledge acquisition. Referring to the irrational debates and abuses of technology and science in the world, he said: "You witness irrational debates in the world today and among some rulers, who in fact rely on force and power, not logic." Hojjat al-Islam Navvab continued that science is a tremendous potential, but only if it is in the hands of a spiritual and logical thinker; otherwise, it becomes a tool for murder and crime; as we see today how, using technology, children, women and men in Gaza are being bombed and cut into pieces in their tents. This is a scientific result that is in the hands of uncommitted, spiritual and morally uneducated people. He emphasized that there have been many people in history who were scholars, but because they were not pious and spiritual, they faced problems and caused great harm to humanity. Referring to the speeches of the president and a group of university officials at the beginning of this program, the representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs said that fortunately, young people and young minds are present in this group, which is a divine blessing for any group. Referring to another statement of Imam Ali (AS), which states that "The stability of life is due to good planning and its owner is due to good management," Hojjat al-Islam Navvab pointed out the necessity of paying attention to planning and good execution, and especially the pathology of the past, and said that the actions of groups should be "targeted" and directed towards a specific "impact," and that "we should look at the past from time to time and understand with a correct pathology in which areas we have been successful and in which areas and actions we need to re-plan".
