  God commanded Abraham To take Hagger, his gracious wife Along with Ismail, their only son To a lonely desert There he left his noble wife To fend for her little child The desert was lonely, no soul was there Except the Godly protection For want of water, Ismail cried The desperate mother ran up and down Safa and Marwah, the famous hills She prayed, "O Lord my son is thirsty Your help is needed to save his life" Her pleas were answered by Almighty God And a well of 'Zam Zam broke forth instantly This abandonment was the heavenly plan To test Abraham's fidelity God approved his sacrifice so greatly That he made it one of the rites of Hajj
