Head of the Iranian pilgrims demands reviewing the process of dispatching personnel and agents to Hajj

At the meeting of Planning and coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab referring to the reports regarding the personnel and agents who were dispatched to this year's Hajj, stated: all should try in the way of changing programs in order to reduce agents so that more pilgrims can perform Hajj.

As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base, at the meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization that was held today on Mecca under the chairmanship of Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs and Head of the Iranian pilgrims; Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab said: reducing the number of agents and those involved in Hajj should be prioritized with the aim of increasing the number of pilgrims, and a working group including officials of the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization and Supreme Leader Delegation Office under the chairmanship of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization chairman carefully examine this issue and give their expert opinion to this council.


If due to sending more agent, even one person who was scheduled going to Hajj was deprived of performing this duty and passes away, or is honored with a higher amount in the coming years, we are responsible, he emphasized.


In the continuation of this meeting, presenting a report on the beginning of pilgrims' departure to Iran and Medina after the days of Tashriq and the increase in the number of flights to the country, chairman of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization stated that the speed of returning pilgrims to the Islamic homeland through two airports of Medina and Jeddah is faster than the speed of sending pilgrims to the land of revelation.


Dr. Seyyed Sadegh Hosseini said: the conditions in different areas are normal and the number of pilgrims in Medina is increasing and in Mecca is decreasing.


Head of the Mecca headquarters Akbar Rezaei, presenting a report on transferring passengers and their luggage to Medina and Jeddah airports, stated at the meeting: the process of dispatching pilgrims to Medina al-Nabi for a 5-day stay in the Prophet's city and Jeddah airport to leave Saudi Arabia is ongoing without any problems, and currently the number of pilgrims near the Kaaba is about 27,400 people.


This meeting continued with the report of cultural deputy of Supreme Leader Delegation Office Hojjat al-Islam Seyyed Hossein Rokn al-Dini about the organizing of human and knowledge circles, educational classes for pilgrims, programs of cultural servants in caravans, and conferences held in Shia and Sunni areas. Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs considering the presence of Noor's Quranic caravan, demanded holding encounter with Quran circle among Iranian pilgrims.


In the continuation of this meeting, officials of different departments expressed their views on the number of agents sent to Hajj by the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization and Supreme Leader Delegation Office.


After listening the report of the inspection director of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the explanations Mecca headquarters chief and officials of other departments, head of Iranian pilgrimage stated: the overall cations and priority in planning should be focused on the axis of reducing the expeditionary agents.


Everyone should try to reduce factors by making changes in programs and using new strategies so that more pilgrims can go to the Hajj, he emphasized.


Referring to the number of pilgrims of several Arab and African countries and the medical staff accompanying them, head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center Dr. Seyed Ali Marashi reported at the meeting on the activities of this center during this year's Hajj and how to equip the new location of Mecca Hospital.


Chairman of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization called for the interaction and efforts of all departments with the aim of reducing the number of dispatched personnel and increasing the number of pilgrims.


Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs called head of the representative office of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization in Saudi Arabia services which have been effective in increasing travel expenses and pilgrims of our country have not used, should be reflected and seriously pursued by the Iranian company.
