Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab emphasized the need for choosing verses based on audience knowledge and asked the reciters sent to Hajj 1402 to recite the verses that are needed by the pilgrims with the information they get from the caravans.

According to the Hajj Information Base, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab in a meeting with 20 Qur'an elites who will be sent to the Hajj 1402 under the title of the Qur'anic Caravan of Light said that the growth of Quran learning and the progress of the country in the affairs of the Quran and the sending of reciters to the Hajj pilgrimage have been planned by the Islamic system and this action was implemented with the permission of the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.


Referring to the desire of the Supreme Leader to attend the Hajj, said that he was present only once in the Hajj in 1358, and in the note he left, he wrote that he had hoped that this chapter would be given to me after the presidency so that I could go on this trip, but it didn't happen.


He that every executive who is sent to the Hajj journey he occupies place of one pilgrim, and emphasized that if this person does not perform his duty properly, he owes it to the pilgrims in some way.


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab continued to express some points about reciting the Qur'an during Hajj and said that try to choose the verses based on the need assessment and audience knowledge and the gathering and place you are going.


"With the information you get from the caravans, recite the verses that are related to them. For example, if the caravan is related to university professors and intellectuals, recite verses related to science and knowledge," he added.


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also stated that coordination with speakers can be effective in choosing verses. "In gatherings where, in addition to reciting the Qur'an, there is also a lecture session, the verses that you recite first can actually be the subject of the speaker's speech."


He also recommended paying attention to the selection of verses in the cities of Medina and Mecca, and added, "If these meetings were in Medina, the verses related to the Prophet, lifestyle, duties of Muslims towards the Prophet, lessons of the Prophet's life, campaigns that It has happened in the city of Medina, the important events of Medina, such as the verses related to the change of the Qibla in Surah Al-Baqarah, the verses related to Mubahila, the hypocrites' encounter with the Prophet, or the construction of the Prophet's Mosque, etc., should be recited."


"If these meetings were in Mecca, the verses related to the importance of Tawaf, the need to preserve the sanctity of the shrine, lessons related to the satisfaction and submission of Prophet Abraham (PBUH) and Ismail, and the secrets of Abraham's position, the verses related to Arafat, Mashaar, Mena, secrets and the teachings of Hajj, Conquest of Mecca, Peace of Hudaybiya, etc. should be recited," he added.


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also advised the reciters that recitation should be for the pleasure of God and with the intention of closeness. "If you have such an intention, God will do something that will make your recitation very effective."


At the end, the head of Iranian pilgrims pointed out while addressing the reciters, "Your behavior in this spiritual journey can act as an example for some people who are with you in this journey to take steps in the path of reciting the Quran and becoming reciters."


Based on the report, in the upcoming Hajj, 20 Quranic activists from 12 provinces will be sent to the Land of Revelation in the form of a caravan of light, and they will do their best to fulfill the Quranic mission and give spirituality to the caravans sent to Hajj.


About 90 percent of the members of the Quranic caravan are going to this spiritual journey for the first time.
