Hojjat al-Islam Navvab: Iran Readiness to Share Hajj Experiences With Jammu and Kashmir

In a meeting with the chairman and several officials of the Jammu and Kashmir Hajj Committee, the representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage, pointing out that the Islamic Republic of Iran has very good experiences in the field of Hajj, said that "we are ready to share these experiences with you".

According to Hajj Information Base, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab in the meeting that took place in Mecca on Monday said that you can localize these experiences and use them to facilitate the affairs of pilgrims who come from this region to perform Hajj.


He reminded the necessity of vigilance in dealing with hostilities that occur with new activities in the field of Hajj and addressed the audience, "Since you entered this field for the sake of God and made a deal with the Most High, the God also knows how to deal with this and will open ways for confronting hostilities in front of you."


The head of Iranian pilgrims stated that in the early years of the revolution, various conspiracies were planned against the Islamic system from inside and outside, and clarified that Late Imam Khomeini kept God in mind in all his affairs, and the Great God also played a role in these conspiracies by the people and thwarted the plots.


In the continuation of this meeting, the head of Iranian pilgrims evaluated the establishment of Hajj school in Jammu and Kashmir as a positive step and pointing out that with the presence of Ms. Safiya Shahbey as the head of the Kashmir Hajj Committee, new works are being done in this field.


"Your activities are promising in It has created the hearts of Kashmiris that should be pushed towards new activities and new works day by day," he added.


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab called the success of the head of the Kashmir Hajj Committee the result of the efforts made and clarified that having responsibility is important, but being effective is more important.


He gave recommendations to the head of the Kashmir Hajj Committee and said, "Assess the needs of this region in connection with the Hajj and plan for the intellectual growth of the clergy, those involved and the pilgrims of the caravans, and do important and comprehensive work and pay attention to the needy people.


At the beginning of this meeting, Ms. Safiya Shahbey also reported on the number of Kashmiri pilgrims in this year's Hajj and the planning done to send and provide services to them, pointing out that it is the first time that a woman is placed in this position.


Pointing out that in the past Persian language was prevalent in this region, she emphasized the necessity of reviving common historical and cultural ties and stated, "We must try not to revive and cut off this deep-rooted and historical relationship."


Other members of this delegation also emphasized on following the line of the Imam Khomeini and giving priority to unity among Muslims by stating that Islam has reached Kashmir from Iran.


At the end of this meeting, which was held in a spiritual and intimate atmosphere, the Kashmiri delegation requested to the representative of the Supreme Leader in matters of Hajj and Pilgrimage to convey the greetings of the people of Jammu and Kashmir to the Supreme Leader.
