Iran and Iraq Hajj Delegations welcomes improving the level of cooperation

Iran and Iraq Hajj Delegations officials in a meeting welcomed the improvement of cooperation and signing the memorandum of understanding on cooperation between two sides.

According to the Hajj information base, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab met and talked with head of the Iraqi High Council of Hajj and Umrah in Mecca.


In this meeting, two sides exchanged views on this year's Hajj and the services provided to Iranian and Iraqi pilgrims, and also demanded to find a common solution regarding the new arrangements of Saudi Arabia for the upcoming Hajj.


Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs did not consider the allocation of one percent quota to each country as executive factors in the future Hajj to be in line with today's realities. head of the Iraqi High Council of Hajj and Umrah of also emphasized at the meeting that the amount for countries that provide different services to their pilgrims is not possible.


In response to the proposal of Iranian pilgrims' head about following up this matter by Hajj authorities of two countries, he added: Iran and Iraq should hold meeting with Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah regarding the problems of this decision and present their points of view.


In the continuation of the meeting, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs congratulated Iraqi Hajj delegation for being in first place as the best Hajj delegation in organizing the affairs of pilgrims and added: the success was the right of dear country of Iraq, the dignity of a country that serves tens of millions Imam Hussein (a.s) pilgrims every year is praiseworthy.


Despite special situation and paralyzing sanctions, the Hajj delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, with God's help, was able to implement new programs in this year's Hajj and achieve great success.


Head of the Iraqi Supreme Council of Hajj and Umrah also expressed his satisfaction with the meeting with the leader of Iranian pilgrims and accompanying delegation on the night of Eid al-Ghadir, and reminded the importance of joint meetings in Tehran and Baghdad, as well as the exchange of opinions between the officials of different parts of Hajj in the planning and management of Hajj.


Pointing out that this year more than 41 thousand Iraqis went to the land of revelation, Hojjat al-Islam Sami Masoudi added: planning and managing this number requires all-round effort and follow-up, as well as the officials of Iran's Hajj delegation are also trying with a lot of effort and minimum hours of rest in order to provide better services to more than 85 thousand pilgrims.


We must try to provide new facilities for pilgrims every year and the upcoming Hajj season will be different from the previous Hajj season and every year will be better than the previous year.


Emphasizing that all countries want to be good servants for their pilgrims, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs added: Pilgrims should be able to worship easily in this land revelation and we, as servants of pilgrims, benefit from the success that God has given us.


Head of the Iranian Hajj pilgrims at the end expressed hope that as soon as possible the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the Hajj delegations of Iran and Iraq will be possible, because it can create a good opportunity for cooperation between two sides in different dimensions.
