Head of Iranian Pilgrims Stressed Need to Comply With All Standards Until End of Hajj Operation
In a meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of the Supreme Leader's Representative Office and Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, the Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab emphasized the need to comply with all standards until the end of the Hajj operation.
According to the Hajj Information Base, in the meeting that was held on Sunday evening (Tir 18) under the chairmanship of Hojjat al-Islam Navvab in Mecca, the head of Iranian pilgrims said that Hajj is not over and this is due to the care and vigilance of all forces in serving until departure and what the last pilgrim asks for the services in the host country.
Emphasizing that pilgrims have rights and their rights must be respected and secured, he pointed out that the delegation of the Supreme Leader, the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center, while maintaining the standards, should have done everything they did during the presence of all the pilgrims and it should be maintained until the departure of the last pilgrim.
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab asked the chefs to increase the quality and variety of food while the number of pilgrims has decreased, and to plan somehow to reduce the time between cooking and distributing food.
In the continuation of this meeting, Mr. Seyed Abbas Hosseini, the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, pointed out the planning that has been done in providing services to pilgrims until the end of the Hajj operation and stated that based on this, the reduction of staff and staff and intra-city transportation services will be done in some way so that the last caravans receive the same services as the first caravans.
He asked the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center to pay more attention and precision to the provision of services needed by pilgrims.
This meeting continued with the report of Gholamreza Rezaei, the operations manager of the Makkah headquarters, about the measures taken to transport the pilgrims to Madinah and the country, and emphasized that "our efforts are aimed at providing services to the pilgrims who are still present in Mecca and Medina".
He pointed to the formation of 12 pathology working groups to assess the weaknesses, strengths and inadequacies in this year's Hajj operation, and asked the officials of the Civil Aviation and Iran Air to prioritize the return of the pilgrims, as they did well in transporting the pilgrims.
The head of Mecca operations announced the number of pilgrims present in Mecca and Medina as 49,846 and 9,511 and said: So far, 8,829 people in the capacity of 61 convoys have been transferred by train and 6,800 people in the capacity of 49 convoys by bus from Mecca to Medina.
Dr. Taher Daroudi, Deputy Director of Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center, also announced that 24 patients were admitted to Saudi hospitals and said that 58 people have been sent to Iran so far, and ten patients and their companions will be transferred to Iran on Monday.
He added that the condition of the patients in Mecca Hospital is not alarming and only two of them have lung and heart problems and their conditions have stabilized.
